Oh, a lovely new chapter!
I don't see the non-teddy bear qualities as a strong turnaround from the prior presentations of Gerulf's character... He's already shown skill in fighting and a strong desire to protect his own. And I can be a bit bloodthirsty when it comes to the meaner characters. I'm glad you threw that chapter in. Now, if only Mihai would see how Gerulf gets attached to people... I think Mihai's biggest problem is this belief that no one cares and he musn't care, either. But Gerulf will work on that, and Mihai just has to unlearn everything life has taught. Oh, joy.
I look forward to another chapter.

I love this story! All of your characters are so well-developed, and I am growing to love (and hate) them as well. I like that Mihai's issues are not just going away because he finally has a considerate lover, and that Gerulf is constrained by their class difference and feels he has to ask for any liberty, including a kiss after they've just had sex. I also love your minor characters, how they have their own quirks and personalities, but they also have their own lives and so don't appear in every chapter -- which only makes me happier to see them when they do appear. And of course the sex is hot, which makes any story better.
One small note on the most recent chapter: you wrote "fowl creature" where I think you mean "foul" -- unless he is, in fact, a bird. Which does make for an interesting image.

Wonderful to see this updated! I didn't find any glaring errors, or unglaring errors for that matter! :) I'm really liking the progression of the characters. Really liked how Gerulf took care of that nasty Ikaros! YAY! Looking forward to the next chapter and the next and...:) Keep up the great work!

A wonderful chapter with interesting character development, and good plot advancement. I look forward to seeing where you are taking this story.
I did find a word replacement need.
"“She was chased into the apartments next door,” she told him, standing in the doorway “But that fowl creature locked her in one of the rooms "
In this instance the word would be "foul". Fowl is referring to a chicken or goose.
Foul means unclean.
Thank you for the chapter. I am always glad to see you post.

Yes, finally he can show what he's made of and doesn't have to pretend to be as stupid and meek as he tries to get certain people to think. I wish he would show those two princes a thing or two.

Interesting. Very very interesting. I love how you can combine plotness with frequent smut so well. It's so very rare in fiction authors.
As for the story itself, I'm loving it so far. I enjoy Gerulf as a character, not stereotypical at all, but interesting. I also find myself wanting to know more about the other, secondary characters in the story and I'm still curious why Mihai doesn't know much about sex despite having had so many partners before.
