A very good start. I wasn't sure whether I was going to like it, with the accent the characters have, but I do. Reading accents is hard, but it's probably a lot harder to write it. But you made it easy to understand.
I like the characters too. It wasn't the typical "vampire meets man, instantly changes them" type of story. Micah offered nothing but friendship and an ear to Connor. It's a good way to tighten the bond between them.
Great job. Can't wait for more.

Oh my gosh! I am so excited about this story. You are a great writer! First of all, you get an A+ for your use of dialogue. It really has a strong influence on the whole setting and atmosphere of the story. Second, you have a knack for creating endearing characters. I really love Conner. He is always appealing but when he gets together with Micah, he becomes so very cute with his gentle manners and his Southern drawl. I love the interaction between the two of them. As Conner is well aware, if he should get involved with Micah, it would definitely mean saying goodbye to his conservative family. Even though he can't stand them, they are still his only family members so I expect he will have a hard decision to make. Anyway I love it. I am very eager to see how this story will go.

As usual you writing is very engaging and I really like how this story is shaping up. I like Connor and I can't wait for the family confrontation. This story is something I will look foward to reading.
