Seriously though, this is probably the only five star fic left that I like that hasn't been abandoned (I used to love the werewolf one with ashland, but that hasn't been updated in several months.)

Please, please, please give this a happy ending, preferably with babies. This fic will always be of the highest calibre in my opinion, but a happy ending would be the icing on the cake considering how depressing things are at the moment.

Oh my, I hope they get him out. I hope Mary manages to make the change okay as well.

Have to share a random thought: Reading 'Starting Fires', all the while Val and Rillian were skulking about the camp the image of them popping out from behind something and start singing "Secret Agent Man" while doing mock spy moves was flitting around in my head. Lol..

Oh. My. God. You post an incredible, lovely, long chapter for us to enjoy, but leave us with such a huge cliffhanger! We, I mean Mary, cannot lose Val now that they have gotten everything out in the open with regard to their feelings. Well, almost everything, as Mary hasn't quite come to terms with it all yet. The way you wrote the scene where they discussed their feelings, their future, and the implications was quite riveting and moving. I also love how you very briefly yet poignantly dealt with the 'is she pregnant?' hypothesis. Nicely done, all around.

It seems ungrateful, after getting such a wonderfully long chapter to enjoy, but I'll still beg . . . please post the next chapter soon. I will be perched on the edge of my seat, clicking obsessively to refresh the webpage until I see a new chapter posted!
