Great story! I was wondering how you'd get around Micheal not knowing Nick... amnesia! Sort of scary, though. Makes me wonder where the real "Micheal' is, or if he even existed at all. And married in two weeks! Wonder what will happen when Richard recovers his memories... Looking forward to more!

Is this a rewrite? Are you the same author who wrote the original? Or the original author is letting you post it? I remember the original story that posted quite a few years ago. I just read the majority of the first chapter and I think it's pretty much the same as the original.
I had to laugh at Richard Asbury's name - he met someone in Asbury Park? lol Did he see Bruce?

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this fascinating story, which I just came across last night.

This was a good chapter with Michael finally giving in, even if he felt bad for Nick. But I'm confused: is this the real Michael that Nick knew? And if so, theh how did he get amnesia? And why did it last so long? I mean, Michael had a whole new identity, new friends, a new home all the way across the country, it just seems his amnesia lasted many years.

I was so glad to see you updated this! Wow, Nick can control himself, huh? So, all along I was thinking that "Michael" was really "Richard" and really got amnesia when he hit his head. But now, since he found those pictures that were of him, is Michael really Michael? And why did he leave for just a weekend and wind up never coming back? And why did he change his name to Richard?
