This is an interesting story, but so much is inferred rather than flat out said that I'm pretty sure I'm missing the point. And I didn't understand AT ALL how pretending the commit suicide would save him from getting killed (before midnight), or was he not about to be disembodied? Honestly I'm confused, but the concept behind the story is such a good idea that I don't mind not knowing.

Very interesting story. Mikael is so sweet - I feel sorry for what's happened to him. At least he has some friends, but I'm not sure anyone really understands him and his beliefs at Hylas House or among other carriers.
Hopefully the man who will choose him won't be too horrible and will respect his opinion. Could it be the Admiral or Jovan? At the moment, I get the feeling that Admiral Holly would respect him more (but he also seems much older than him).
Also: I always pictured Mikael as blond. I must have missed something...

Poor Mikael- the question is now are they being set up as the ultimate pawns of a governement that doesnt care.
