A new chapter is a lovely Christmas present. I like the subtle battle of wills between mother and daughter (and mother and son) in this chapter. Like Persephone, I look forward to her interactions with her fellow gods.

Hooray for Persephone using her power to save all those people. The scene with the nearly dying priest and his wife was quite touching. Your words made it easy for me to visualize Persephone's energy web and the plants Demeter caused to grow. Not to mention Zeus feeling sorry for himself while swigging ambrosia.
