Dude! You're updating so fast, it's wonderful! I'm so glad you mentioned in Kiss of Fire to read this. I think all the characters are wonderful, your idea of how to use the scenery completes everything. You have beautiful details, like Hades' helmet and the chained story between Aphrodite and Ares that I remember reading in the Odyssey. ^_^ It's obvious you know exactly what you're talking about, and that every part of this story is wonderfully planned. I love that I can actually learn more about the original myth, like Persephone's original name was Kore, from reading fanfiction! That practically never happens, and it's delightful. It's also interesting, having read both this and capture of the maiden, to compare your different interpretations of the Persephone and Hades myth. Overall, i love everything about this story. You're doing an unbelievably wonderful job, please keep up the good work! I can't wait to see more of Kora's powers develop, and to see how she responds to her new home (to say nothing of Demeter's reaction).

this story is fanfastic. I cannot say enough how great a writer you are. I think you shouldn't be wasting your time with aff.net and should instead be publishing this. (Although then I wouldn't get to read the rest of it, which would make me sad.) I don't normally review (read: ever)but you deserve praise for such an amazing story. You have taken mythological beings and given them such rich personalities. It is incredible how you do so.

My only criticism of this is there is no interplay of cupid's arrow and Hades' love. Indeed, his passion seems a bit out of character. I'm a bit vague on the specifics, but the story is that Cupid, (or Aphrodite, I'm not sure) decides to teach Hades the meaning of love, and Cupid shoots Hades with an arrow. (Again, I am not sure if it was his arrow of passion or love.) Hades falls in love with the first woman he sees--Persephone. He whisks her away to the underworld, and does not give her up till Zeus makes him.

You have already developed such a marvelous story, but maybe the pushing point of Hades' kidnapping is the arrow? He can already love her.

If you already have the story planned out, continue as you have been writing and it would still be the best story I've read on this site. (that's a compliment, I promise.) :)

Eeek! I love this story!

wow this is so good. I am surprised that Hades didn't go after Ares, after all he is very possessive of Kora and after hearing her attempted rape, I thought he would be very angry. Your story is amazing. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Just finished chapter 2, really enjoying it so far.

Chapter 6 - very interesting so far. Nice to see a insight into Persephone's background, makes it feel more real. Good work.
