This story! It has been in limbo too long x.x

Hades clearly loves her and is right for her. The thing that he doesn't understand is that by refusing to give her the choice between himself and the surface world, he becomes her warden, and the resulting love is forever tainted.

He needs to give in and let her choose. I wouldn't be able to respect her as a strong character anymore if she gave in. He needs to let her choose, and see what she does, and trusts that she loves him, and that they are meant for one another.

I like how you are weaving together the various divine and mortal perspectives. Besides Zeus' growing panic and Hades' intransigence, how are the other gods responding?

After reading this novel, my mind kept silently complaining over how unattractive Hades is in the new Clash of the Titans movie. Will Hades ever tell Persephone what is going on in Hellas or will she have to find out for herself? I'd imagine she would be quite upset to know people are suffering due to her disappearance.

I do love to see all the interactions within this story - from P/H and Demeter and her new "family." Keep up the excellent quality of writing. :D

Hades is so sweet. And Abas definitely got what he deserved.

Ah, Persephone has much more will power than I do, to be able to resist the tender words and pomegranate-sweet kisses of Hades.

As always, I eagerly await your next chapter!

Hi! I discovered your story at Fanfiction Net and, of course, couldn't help but find the kinkier version of it. XD It's very well written - a beautiful, incredibly detailed take on the myth. I'm sure you've heard all of those compliments before, but I just have to say it again. Because it's true.

There are some parts that could use cleaning up, but overall I think they're all mistakes that can be overlooked. The plot in itself is very convincing, and the way you presented the myth down to the last detail makes me think as though it really happened. I even had to brush up on my knowledge of this story just to see which parts were really part of the myth (I'd forgotten the Eleusis part of the story) and which weren't. (The part with Iaison and Demeter really WAS quite convincing. I'm still at odds with myself if it was part of the myth or not!)

You made me fall in love with this story all over again. The first time I read the Hades and Persephone myth was when I was eleven, and I got upset by the fact that Persephone got kidnapped (or raped, whatever), and was relieved when she was reunited with her mother. Nine years and several HadesPersephone fics later, it's the other way around. XD Most especially with this story, as it's the most detailed retelling I've seen.

It especially inspired me to draw some art relating to the myth. But not today when I'm cramming for exams, though. Haha.

I have to tell you though, I keep trying to edit out the circle beard from my mind. My dad has the same beard, and... eh. REALLY bad mental image. So my mind auto-edits any mention of the circle beard. That's just me, though.

Anyway, as for your question in the author's note, I'd like to see a retelling of the Cupid and Psyche myth. I also read this when I was eleven, in the same book as the Hades and Persephone one (a book by Edith Hamilton). It was my favorite story as a girl. Looking back at it now, I feel like Psyche was too helpless, always needing a Deus Ex Machina to help her out of a pinch. I'd like to see her portrayed as a stronger girl who doesn't need to be guided every so often. I'd write it myself, but I don't really have the inspiration. But you might. Just saying.

Finally, thanks for being such a great author! You really brought this old myth to life, and it's definitely the best retelling I'd ever seen. I hope you write more, and soon. But doesn't everyone? XD You actually update quite quickly compared to other epic writers. Damn, now I'm ranting. THANK YOU FOR WRITING THIS STORY.
