"It was painfully clear in that moment that they were both thoroughly, completely, and utterly fucked." <- One of the greatest lines I've ever read! I laughed so hard, I frightened my cat...but everything about this chapter was rather entertaining and comedic, and just perfect after all the delicious angst.
And early on, I had an inkling that Granny was definitely in the know about much more than we'd guess, but I certainly didn't expect her to know THAT much! (Not to mention she's like, almost displaying that she knows her grandson is totally tapping that hot piece of Dae-ass...) Not that I wish to seem forward, and believe me, it isn't any due at all to her masculine appearance, but I think I'm getting a vibe that says Granny might be a lesbian...with Mary...But I've had lesbians on the brain for awhile due to another story I had to catch up on (yet sadly doesn't even come close to being as amazingtastic as Flaming) so it could be nothing.
Again, I am oh so super jealous of your writing abilities and just adore how you portray every character! Dae is full of sharp wit and moments of stupidity (for lack of a better word, my brain isn't working right now at one hundred percent) and he is definitely one of my favoritest fictional characters ever in the history of my reading fiction! If the world bent to my rules, Harry Potter and J.K.Rowling can step off, Damien and Flaming's fantabulous author (hint: that's you!) are taking the stage and covering it with hot mansex and rainbows!

And the angst was back...for a bit...and then hot sex ensued. You know or maybe have seen someone at an amusement park that doesn't get sick on rides and has an insane sweet tooth and has eaten too much cotten candy and been on too many dizzying rides and are just stumbling around mumbling happy jibberish like a drunken person without the usual stink? Well...I do, most don't...(most are not me~ lol) but that's how I feel after such a lovely, long, entertaining, enticing, hawt, gorgeous (I'm stealing Scott's nickname for use as an adjective mwahaha), amazingtastic sex scene chapter. Sure, plot points in the first bit, but then it was all in the bed from there!
I will say, I absolutely loved the idea of Dae and Scott playing house! Just imagining it makes me giggly, and reminds me of a few page manga of a couple who played house on the seme's birthday and the lovely uke could wear only a skimpy apron all day...Oh how I so love apron-only dress code and playing house! Not to mention, I love the term "Wifey." My Civics teacher used that term in a demonstration in class once, and I've loved using it since~ Now I have more mind fodder in which to use it in my thought process!
I'm worried about Dae again, though! I am glad that Scott understands why Damien would keep his sexual assault secret, it really is a personal thing that isn't judged through trust in your partner to reveal, but when one themselves is ready to reveal it, and that's such an awful thing to have to get over. But seeing as how now I'm doubting Granny's knowledge as far as HOW MUCH she knows about Scott's involvement with Dae...I pray to god she doesn't try to play matchmaker or something with Scott! It'd be awful and I don't want it to happen D: And also, when Scott was raving about Mary, he wondered why she never went home or left or whatever, and it just made my mind call Granny a lesbian again...even if she was married before. I know myself a very kind couple who were once both married to men and had children, then divorced and are happily raising their youngest daughter together...so in my head Mary and Granny could very well fit the picture...and Daw would probably find it hilarious and fitting that dragon woman and the old bitch are together...
Well, I anticipate the next chapter with much zeal and desire! And again, I loved the sex scene, fantastical!

I think pool sex just got bumped onto my favorites list...and I must say, and I know I'm overusing these words but I don't care! I LOVED the pool scene, just the sexy fun that it all was made it great to read and the whole chapter had a pretty okay vibe far as what was in store for the characters pretty much all along the pool scene...and then when my derranged and mansex-crazed mind was just loving the lovin'...you just went and brought in one of the sweetest lines I've ever read!
“You look so beautiful when you’re happy like this,” I read this and then I literally stopped reading, replayed my mental movie, and made and audible "Awwww," and I may have teared up, but I don't really know! Just, wholesome, innocent, pure love right there and I was just as caught off guard as Dae was...Scott is such a sweetie!
And I'm betting that Dragon Mary DID see the hand down the trunks, but I'm rooting she's an appreciating lesbian with Granny whom enjoys the idea of two absolutely gorgeous young (gay) men prancing about wet and dripping in a pool and touching each other naughtily....just hoping of course~
And nooooo! Por que!!!!!???? I was starting to really like Granny, despite her meddling previously, and now she wants to introduce Scott to a girl!? Nuuuuu!! C'mon Granny, Dae is like, twice as great as any girl, and he probably looks ten million bajillion times better in a skirt than any breeder she could dig up! Oh Scott, your Granny gave you a window of opprotunity! Wait...maybe she's just a maniacal genius using the ploy of introducing Scott to girls to finally force him into admitting the truth that his head over heels for his friend with the hot little ass!? Yay Scott! Stand up for yourself! You don't know how over joyed I am that you don't allow your characters to walk into painfully obvious situations that would cause awful trouble...at least, nothing like the overused cliches found around everywhere lately (not that I have anythng against cliches, I love quite a number of them, but your story is refreshingly new and amazing and wonderful). And I will say, my delusions from last chapter are spiking again and I'm getting Good Granny vibes. Sure, she's a manipulative woman, but from what I've seen now, she seems to just want Scott to come out with the truth to her...in an amusing (to her) process of a way apparently...But from what I gathered, she was disappointed when Scott showed positive interest in meeting with Liberty (because she really wants him to have sex with Dae) and she perked up again when Scott was all "no dating for me!" (because she knows he loves Dae's fucking brains...and the part of his brain that aids in such an activity) Not to mention, it's kinda like Granny got Liberty to make the boys tell her Scott's gay for Dae through masterful manipulation, what with the shopping and all. I didn't see Granny as being against Dae at all really...
And I'm glad that Dae is jealous of Scott and Liberty, but he's not psycho boyfriend who won't let his boyfriend be friends with girls. Again, refreshingly not cliche~ The video game with the animal obliteration is hilarious and sounds like something I would do, and makes Dae cute...and the mini bit of action he and Scott got in the game room were great...I loved it way too much! Oh, and I adore when Scott gives Dae his 'you're cute when you're' smiles, they're priceless!

I finally decided to read this story and I gotta say, this story has had more mood swings than I do! I read all the chapters in one evening and it was just so intense. It made me angry and sad, but then it made me happy. I cried and laughed and ...well the sex was hot!
I absolutely love Damien, he reminds me of poor little Chris. He is so emotionally fragile, yet tough at the same time. Scott is perfect for him.
This little adventure at Granny's is amusing but I can't wait for them to get back to school though, I miss James.
I only have two things that have bothered me. I know Albert is only a small side character, but his history as a seed distibuting philanthropist and the perverted drag queen who makes sexual advances on a 17 yr old, seem at odds with each other.
More importantly though, I felt it was very unneccessary for Granny to give that folder to Damien. If she felt it went to far, why even give it to him. He didn't know about it and he didn't need to be told. What purpose did it serve other than making me hate her. Seriously, was that your intention or am I just being over protective of Damien?
Which makes me think, you are an amazing writer. You can just suck me into a story so quick. I normally don't like reading stories in serial form, but my love of Aurora's Consort got the best of me and I gave in and read this one. I loved this story, it was completely different than Aurora's Consort, it is a story that makes you think, where as this one makes you feel.
