Jayden does need to step out of his father's shoes and use his own, if he had done that sooner he would have less problems. Independence is important.

I loved that Jayden flashback part when he told his father about Augustus and his fight xD and wow, I could never imagine Jayden as a child if he was that mischievous

I read the chapter at 3am this morning and i couldnt review cos i was dyig lol. I have a major cold and cant breathe so therefore cant sleep. Im going to reread the chapter again but just want top say when i had to get out of bed after giving up on falling asleep i was so happy to see another update.
I enjoy your responses to teh reviews and would hate to lose them. Any way you decide to do them is up to you but just let me know because im not sure how to use the forums and never really look at them so if you decide to do the responses on the forums let me kno so i can check.

Great backstory on Jayden. As for responses, I would suggest you put them in the update email. That way I can read them before I go on to the next chapter. Honestly, by the time I have read the newest chapter and get to the bottom for responses, I have pretty much forgotten my own review.

I liked this chapter. In the midts of all these painful and depressing events, it was really nice to make sort of a break from it all with the little story about Jayden's childhood. I can't begin to tell you how freakin adorable it was when Jayden told his father he would marry him and give him all the candies and make him happy. it was just so damn sweet!^^
this break on the somber tone AC has fallen into was really welcoming, kind of a relief actually. let's just hope it won't take too long for another such moment to happen, hopefully as a present event rather than a memory from the past for it will certanly mark the beginning of everything starting to mend itself. I can't wait to see Devin and Jayden, Adam and Chris, and Aurora itself, in peace and happy.

ps: regarding your answers to our reviews, please do continue them, it's always so nice to know that an author cares too about what we readers hv to say. not to mention your answers are always so damn funny they'r as entertaining as your stories themselves! ^^
the forum would probably be the best way to do it, first it's linked to the main AFF site, second you wouldn't hv to get to the trouble of getting every reviewers email and painstackingly mail them separatly, and there wouldn't be the risk of losing track of who reviewed and who you've already answered.

pps: can I throw in kinda of a wild card? it has nothing to do with anything but... you know, I really like shapeshifter stories, specially of the feline variety, specially when it's m/m, and of course if it manages to include mpreg then that's the cherry on top of my cake and I'm in blissful heaven! XD
so what I'm getting at is... errr... would you consider writting such a story? not forcefully now but when you've finished AC or FitD... if you'd like that of course, if it's not your cup of tea I understand... but then again WHO doesn't like male/male furry feline smexing with mpreg in the mix?!? show yourselves so I can shoot you dead! joking! ;PP

Yay, you’re back! I hope everything has gone well, I can totally understand life's unexpected detours; 2009 just couldn’t end quickly enough for me, lol!
OMG, Devin, and really the whole story, is so much more interesting now with all this angst (not that it wasn’t uninteresting before, LOL)! I get so emotional when reading all of his internal and external arguments and wondering what will happen! OMG, it’s really like just about anything could happen now; Dev could be captured again, he could abandon his service and look for Omega members, stay the two years and secretly train and put up a façade of acceptance while really keeping his bitter internal attitude, or become more “soothed” and grow to realize that he can put his crap behind him, rally for political and social change and lead the Auroran nation to victory in their war against Omega??? Of course, now it seems a bit more assuredly that the latter will happen, but you never know, lol! Oh, and is King Samuel one of Devin’s prior incarnations??? Oh no, what if Devin dies while giving birth like Jay’s father!? I don’t think you’d do that, but again, you never know!
Oh, is that Chris’ secret power? I should have realized that! I’m still wondering tho, what those three concocted that allowed them to pull off this creation of a new power though; I mean, what exactly is the purpose of having the two children? Also, it’s interesting that so little is made of Jiro now since he doesn’t seem to have the power to enter Chris’ plane like Taro/Xavier did; ergh, his character is so mysterious! Tho, their motives are clearer now, which is giving Chris the power to purify the Omega’s souls, which is a nice touch since they keep being reborn with tainted souls.
Oh I do hope that Devin calms down now and begins to really sort through all this turmoil, it’s just so sad to see all the anguish everyone has…I was so glad that Dev and Jay had some make-up luvin’ tho, that really got my hopes up for their eventual complete reconciliation. I wonder if Dev will truly have that complete breakdown when he lets his bundled up emotions about Zachary go, that would be another rollercoaster ride, I think! Also, this lovemaking scene just seemed really “real” compared to the others and I’m not sure why…I think it’s probably because the emotional buildup to this point has just been so great and both of the characters have just been thru so much that to have this scene with tenderness and desperation and then conclude it with them finally saying that they love each other again was just perfect! I love the whole “this means nothing” and then “this means everything” dialogue, btw!
Ergh, I’m on the edge of my seat again and even getting 3 chapters in a row doesn’t help, LOL! Again, great job and I can’t wait for the next one!
