I am glad to see that you are working on this story again I get the feeling there will be some sadness to come. I am really looking forward to the next chapter.

You know, I liked this chapter better than the first. Not that the first was bad, but I kept waiting for it to detour into PWP land, and there wasn't much in the way of witty conversation. This one put a spotlight on Adam and his life, and both are interesting. The opening banter was pure gold and holds up to many re-readings, and of course seeing Adam so friendly with his ex is curiously pleasing. Usually the ex serves as the drama trigger, but here he's a good friend, and that's a nice change of pace. I have no meaningful complaints, but don't worry, I'm sure I'll find some along that way, haha.

And one thing I really appreciate is how you haven't infodumped. You don't explain Adam's breakup with Jeremy, his history with his mother, or why he has trouble keeping a job. You're able to state relevant facts without stopping the story to expand on each and every one, with the promise that we'll get our answers soon enough. Maybe I've been reading too much fantasy lately, but that comes as a relief to me. Just be careful not to play up suspense to the point where it gets annoying, but I doubt you'll fall into that trap.

Itty bitty nitpick: What seem to be randomly capitalized words ("Chlamydia", "Cloves"). Other such nitpicks are equally as petty and have nothing to do with the quality of writing itself.

(2) Just found and read your story and I'm already looking forward to more :) You certainly know how to pique our curiosity, I can't wait to find out more of Adam's history and of course I want to know more about Luke and what's going on with him and how he ended up in the situation that he's in. By the way to go back to the first chapter I loved the whole feel and atmosphere of it, I always enjoy stories with wonderful descriptions and that was the first thing I noticed about this.^^ Anyway I really liked reading this and now I can't wait for an update for the next chapter ^_^

I am so glad that you updated this story. I really like all the characters. I get the feeling though that Luke is involved in some unsavory stuff. It seems both characters are somewhat traumatized. I am eager to read more. Eager for Adam and Luke to meet up again.

Too early to make a full judgment, but I like Adam, and Luke seems wonderfully schizoid so far, so you know I approve. It seems vaguely similar to "Shadowed" (only not as hilarious because this relationship didn't begin by man-meets-vehicle XD): One dude takes another dude home despite the risks, one has a mysterious "he" in his past that's only vaguely alluded to, awkwardness and adventure ensues. I couldn't suss out the hints, myself, but I look forward to the next installment. Also, why doesn't the kind rescuer ever want the thank-you blow job? Hehe.

Hey there :) I definitely like the sound of this. Luke is interesting! And Adam, he's got his issues too. Haha. Keep going! =D

I really like how this story started, even though Luke is a little creepy in a 'is he a dead ghost or something?' kind of way. What with it seeming like he's constantly out of it. I'm excited for another chapter, almost as excited as I am about a new chapter of Lock and Key! I was one of the people who got your email, and it made me really happy to know that your back! I will defiantly be easy to get back into the story, so don't worry about that. I look forward to it!

I was taken in by your descriptions, wow, I felt like I was getting drenched by rain! I'm serious.

I'm interested in the characters background. I hope to see more of this fic.
