I fucking reviewed, a rather detailed review, to boot, just now and AFF went batshit. I'm now too angry to say exactly what I said before, but the gist of it: this story is real, well written, and completely beautiful. It's so refreshing to see that Eli is really still struggling with his sexuality. He's ambivalent, unsure, confused... but at the same time he's aware that he's always wanted this. I think Carl might be jealous for reasons Eli would be surprised to hear; i.e., he's not as straight as perhaps everyone thinks.

The concert part was really sweet. The details of the lighting by the pool made it all so tangible and memorable. I think I'm going to have to add this story to my recommended reading list! Also, Nirvana Unplugged is one of my favourite records.

I fucking hope this review sends this time.

God! More!! I fucking love this story! I can`t stop smiling...But I have a slightly bad feeling about carl...
I just hope he isn`t "really" jealous, as in he was in love with eli all the time and now eli has to decide
between carl and adrian. Oh, adrian is adorable...and your writing is kind of hot. I`m lying, it IS hot.
Its a little bit difficult to follow elis moods, espacially his fear and realization about being gay.But it also made it
very real. Great writing.

gah this story is so good. I hope Adrian makes a move on Eli because he doesn't seem to be leaving his closest without a fight. Can his sister keep a secret? I wonder how long before the kids on the playground all know about Eli's deep dark secret. anyway excellent chapter. Can't wait for more

Omg!!! I love it! I love that you updated and I love your freaking characters!

I don't normally review (cause I suck at it), but I felt like you deserved way more reviews than you have so here I go. I love the characters and the writing style. Eli's thought process seems a lot like mine at times, the way he'll jump onto a topic and just run with it until he realizes he's been spacing out for the last 10 minutes (yeah, I do that all the time). Anyway, keep up the great work and I can't wait to see what happens with Eli!

yay, still going strong! thanks for yet another beautifully written chapter. loved the talk at the end with abby, it had such a realistic feel to it. your story is one of the best ones up here at the moment, so please, keep it up!

I'm so glad you updated. I actually checked this story today to see if I'd missed it.

I love the way this is written. The characters are so fucking REAL. Many people fail at describing the anguish closeted characters are feeling, and you did it so well with Eli. I moped around with him instead of thinking "Man, what an emo douche." And Eli, love, Regina Spektor is good no matter what genres you like. I learned that the embarrassing way, too.

Eli's relationship with Adrian is so sweet and tangible, even though it feels like it's not much of a relationship as yet. I think Adrian knows what he wants, though. Also; I love that your characters don't look like super models. Eli has pimples and all. Fantastic. That is just fantastic. I don't know why but it is.

I didn't like Abby at first, but I do now. She's a pretty cool kid. Imagine that, the first person he came out to was a five year old. Ha. This story is just about the best thing I've read on here, in all honesty. I think it needs more attention!

I'm gonna go to your LJ and love all over your drawing now.
