I think the amount of angst is perfect and it's very realistic. I really like this story and can't wait for the next chapter!

Where should I begin? It's always hard when one has too much or too little to say! In my case I think I have too much. May be I'll start with beating about the bush then. Usually it does the job. I'm a person who can't live a day without reading something, even if it's something small. So I can proudly say I've read quite a lot of stuff. Usually I find myself easily sated but when I find a really really good story I become unreasonably demanding because I want it to be even better. I think this is what happens with yours. It's already so good and yet I find myself thinking "why the hell is he doing that?". Which is just perfect actually. It really keeps me interested. I did say I'm good at beating about the bush, didn't I? ^^
About the story. Even though I find the concept closer to real life I still think it brave that you don't have, let's call it - true pairing yet. There are certain attractions between certain individuals but nothing absolute. Many people rely especially on this connection between those two special people to build a story. I've read only one other (really good that is) story that followed the same way and I was trying to fight with my own stereotype the whole time. But that's another story. All I'm trying to say is I think I'm enjoying this more now because I've already had some experience with the type.
The characters. Every single one of them is splendidly built. (The real word that comes to my mind is "migoto" if you're familiar with it.) Kato is very ... pure. I admire your patience for being able to do all those unfair things to him. I myself write and I know how I always side with my characters. If he was mine he'd be doing a lot more shouting and cursing and just putting everyone where the sun doesn't shine. Which reminds me - you asked if he was acting more girly? I think not. He's always been like that but I'd really appreciate if he could grow more of a backbone. He wouldn't still be so pure and naive though. It's a two-edged knife doing that to him.
I'd love to go through all the characters but I look at my clock and it scares me. I'll only add that I have certain sympathies for Seshimora. He's still an enigma for me and an image of him getting hard over a pretty boy without knowing how to control it is quite alluring. He doesn't look as devious as Shinko and Fusako. And even though Noberu has made a huge step with stopping his life in denial, he still has a long way to go!
Ok, I'll stop now. I only hope I've at least a little managed to make myself clear - I really like this story. I love the language, the plot, even the slight cynicism in your ANs. It speaks a lot about a person. Thus, I'm looking forward to the next instalment! Sorry about all the blabbering. It seems I used so many words and still managed to not say anything of importance. Well, I guess it's still some sort of art ~.^

Nope. Definitely not overdoing Kato's moodiness.
It's good to see you've updated. This is probably
one of my favourite stories. I love the characterizations, the
background/ set-up is awesome and your writing is so emotive.
Continue to work on it.
I look forward to see how it ends.

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this updated! Yay!!!! I've been missing this story! Ok, so Reduku(sorry for the misspelling) is pushing Kato towards Shinko; that was obvious when Nubero (sorry again for the misspelling; I'm too lazy to erase the review and go back and check the spellings!) figured out that he let the other guards go so Shinko could sneak into Kato's room. But now Reduku has been protecting Kato his whole life by killing people? Does he really believe that Shinko would never harm his child for the throne? Even if it's in his family's history? Would he be kicked off the throne if he refused to sacrifice his child?

Anyway, I'm so glad you updated! Hopefully the next chapter won't be so long! (hint, hint)

Oh, and I think Kato is acting fine; you know pregnancy hormones! lol I especially liked when Kato was teasing Neberu (is that right?) so mercilessly; it was very cute.

Heya, I really like this story, I was so excited to see another chapter. In answer to your question, he is starting to get to be a bit weepy, but he does have all sorta of crazy hormones pumping through him, so I think he can be excused ;)

Wow Thank you for the update I was getting worried you were going to leave everyone hanging I really hope you finish this awesome story. I really love how Kato acted and reacted to Naberu that was soooooooo typical well teenager actually everyone has a bit of a tease in them and Kato looks like he would be a very good tease if he can bring himself to actually do it without getting embarressed all of the time and no you are not making him to girly just a bit more human actually and maybe a touch more mature. Finally realizing that he is not the only one that this whole mess is affecting but 2 entire worlds and a whole galaxy. Empathy and caring is not hormonal it's maturing. Besides it's fun to read about guys getting hormonal instead of macho the macho and tough crap is waaaaay overrated and very stupid and most of the guys I know basically get over it when they get older Kato is just starting to mature older than his years is all and with all that has happened it's probably due to his own inner survival instincts either grow up or pretend nothings wrong and the whole world is all about him and die. Radaku is a shi I mean a dangerous idiot. The whole reasoning around his decisions is seriously fuc I mean screwed up. He's the type who doesn't see the big picture in anything and who won't fight for what is right. Like save one person and let thousands die because of it is the only way to go it's not but he won't see any other alternatives like oh comprimise and negotiate and plain guilting others he is one bad diplomat that is for sure. Kato's father is also a chicken someone who can't see the whole picture obviously if he killed his daughter simply for being a girl how anal can you get whole countries use to do crap like that on earth but thank god it doesn't happen as often now because big shock someone down the line said enough is enough and put a stop to it otherwise the United States probably wouldn't exist because we would frown very heavily on it and probably go to war. I'll begrudingly admit that sometimes war is necessary to bring about change but that is the big picture if thousands die to save millions in the future so there will be a future then that's how life goes but god knows first you try everything you can to talk some sense and responsibility into them first. It's scary how Radaku is so wrong about Shinso Shinso is selfish and a me me me kind of person to get what he wants I doubt he would care about anyone else getting hurt to me that's his type he also sounds a bit greedy and power hungry very dangerous indeed and I think he would hurt Kato if he thought that Kato was going to interfere in any plans after his heir is born of course. Can you tell I can not stand Shinso he sounds so much like to many guys I know CREEP with a big C. The other is a bit more internal and needs to be brought out of himself I think Kato could help him there and help him be an awesome caring yet very strong leader the two of them would be able to rule very well I think they may have to first bash some heads in but with Naberus' help I think they could manage it. The girl well she wouldn't make a great ruler to much with her head in the clouds but she could be an awesome aunt. Radaku needs to be shown the error of his ways by the king I think before he ends up hurting Kato and destroying both worlds. Thanks loads for the update and I can't wait for the next one to see what happens I also can't wait fot the pregnancy that should be interesting as well most of them in stories are they are so fascinating thank you so much for sharing your story with us.

Yay! You updated! I thought you forgot about the story! I'm so glad you didn't! I was on pins and needles to see Kato's reaction to being pulled away from Shinko. Personally, I like Shinko, ok, so he's a mpreg perv. But, he's also kind and sweet and I think he'll be good for Kato. And I don't think Kato's a whore; far from it. I know Noberu (did I spell it right?) is only trying to protect Kato, but at the same time, he keeps embarrassing him. I feel bad for Fausko (is that spelled right?); was she crying b/c she knows she'll be the next to die and will never be able to experience childbirth?

I'm glad your son is better; that must have been pretty scary; not knowing why he was in pain.

I look forward to your next chapter; I know finding time to write is hard. Finding time to read is hard too, now that school started. My kids don't let me near my computer!!! It's so frustrating!

Oh, I've definitely been waiting for the last two months :P Wondering what happened to one of my favorite stories on AFF and when I saw it today, I got that big satisfied grin :D

Alright, now on to the actual comment.

I see some tempest's brewing there, giving me hope, nod nod. Maybe, maybe ... Noberu can use it to his advantage? *keeping fingers crossed for him*

Now, after reading this particular chapter, it strikes me how un-enviable situation all the royal kids are in. Seshimora had to kill his favorite brother, Shinko has to be wary of everything and everyone coz he's the only real rival to Seshimora and Fusako knows that no matter how strong she gets, she won't become the queen, she won't Ascent because Kato's planet won't accept her. And despite knowing that, she's still not allowed to pursue her wish. Poor girl, nod nod.

Redaku is like a snake in paradise but if his scheming leads to Noberu hooking up with Kato, I'm willing to forgive him :P

As to your remark about the whole Shinko-perviness and Kato's supposed sluttiness, well ... yeah, someone forgot that even if Kato's able to bear children now, it doesn't mean he became a woman. He's still a male and they tend to bemore flexible about sexual matters. While a girl would dwell about doing it or not, leading the poor guy on, the GUY goes straight to the core of the matter, so to speak :P And I like the fact that you don't turn Kato into a girl after his surgery; he's still a guy. It's visible in his conversation with Fusako.

Now, me going off, to the land of dreams, pairing Kato off with the only rightful choice :P just kidding, the story's yours and whoever you pair Kato with in the end, I'll still enjoy it :)

See you next time and hopefully soon :)
