Ah - what a delightful chapter.
Just as you promised. I can understand everyone's point of view. Although I'm a little surprised Rayne (sp?) thought Katan over-reacted.
Aren't slaves - like dogs - supposed to behave? Especially when treated well?
Even as a clicker-trainer, I wouldn't overlook that. Though, of course, I'd never beat one of my dogs into submission

Poor Jason, he doesnt have it very easy. Sold, hurt and confused and no one really helping him- I like it- wish he had something to make it a little more even. I like it

For some reason, I'd been thinking a 'show slave' was a sex slave. Poor Mark - bet he thinks he's not pretty enough.
At first, I thought Mark wanted to be Katan's sex slave. Now... I'm not sure of his motivation. He must be jealous, though...

Not quite as good a reason as being raped so badly you can hardly walk - and you've been betrayed by your uncle so you have nothing else to hope for.
But chocolate is good... And Mark is a good role model.
