Oh this is getting interesting. It's makes his behaviour a little bit easer to understand when you know the back round. I knew it even if Andreji said to River that he and Demian weren't in the intim relationsip but they were stil having sex.

you are keeping us on the edge! I would bet on someone from the counsil, but I might be completely wrong...
Andreiji and his independance thing... well, he's doing his best I guess, you did not protray him as a commitment kind of character. It's kind of cute to see him try so hard for River's sake.
I wonder what the general direction of this story will be like... I mean, it's obviously not only about River turning into a vampire, this new character brings out some old mistery to light. We'll learn more soon hopefully!

I absolutely love the idea of the "slow" turning rather than an immediate change to a vampire for River. You've got great and interesting ideas. Keep writing. I'll be here reading with every update.

Sorry for the lack of review lately... Life had caugh on with me.
Still love your story, and I am glad to see River more daring. It's good to see some new dynamics, and that Andreiji is also willing to go along and admit his "mistakes".
I am also very curious about this backstory... I wonder if it is about how Andreiji came to the counsil.

A-Ha, found you. I wondered where River went. Hope you get tons of hits here at slash. I'm glad that River is returning back to the kick ass hunter he was at the beginning of the first book. I can appreciate that he had to go through some major changes with Andreji but he seemed so diminished. Give the boy a spine and let him stand on his own. I think he needs that to survive in this fantastical world you have created. The backstory you're showing for Andreji is good. Filling in the gaps.
