I just finished Muffin and it was a really great read. I loved Muffin. I loved the relationship between Muffin and Asher. Can't wait to start Matthew! Thanks for this great story!

I managed to figure out what bugged me about the turn of events in the story. It was that any trust there might have been between the two was shattered. I'm sure in time it might be mended or repaired, but it will never be the same. In my opinion, it's difficult (sometimes impossible) to overcome feelings of hate / anger / revenge / betrayal. It started with Muffin, who lost confidence in Asher, horrified by the awful things is said to have done. And despite everyone saying that, I still hold a sliver of hope those accusations are false. Which, would in turn make Asher lose faith in Muffin upon seeing his wavering nature.
I'm not sure how a happy ending can be achieved in the span of two chapters that are left. And without a happy ending... well...

Really? That's how the story ends? How anticlimatic!
After mixing the plot to the point of not understanding it... Muffin/Matthew supposedly sacrifices himself to save Asher, going back to his non-existence in the world?
It was original in the sense that Asher wasn't the good guy, nor the totally bad guy of the story. But with such convoluted turn of events and weird actions by Muffin... the last chapters totally failed to impress me.
I'll admit it, I wanted my happy ending: Asher and Matthew together. And I got something totally different. Another story where, hopefully they might make up. And if not.. there is always the third story, right? Or the fourth?
I liked the richness of the story telling and how vividly I experienced Muffin's feelings and sensations but the drag of the story killed it for me.

Alright... if chapter 20 were the end... I'd rate this as "neah, didn't quite like the story".
I mean, come on, not knowing exactly his age and the reason why he was captured by Michael, I couldn’t quite accept the scene as believable. Out of nowhere, Muffin is dragged into this hellhole of torture where people are cut up awake and who knows what other horrors. It just came out of nowhere so I couldn't really make it work in my head.
Then there was the nameless guy who says all these things about Asher and his reasons. It’s so cliche to read about the main character deceived into believing a lie to be wrestled out of power. Or maybe, who knows, that was in fact the truth and Asher is indeed as bad as he seems. I usually prefer to think of my favorite characters as innocent until proven otherwise, but the sudden twists in the story kind of made me indifferent to their moral values. Hope this changes as I truly enjoyed the story so far... it would be a shame to have it end so lousy.
And if Asher is innocent, then Muffin never trusted him in the first place, if he was so easily swayed. And the ending of the chapter shows Muffin out for revenge and set to destroy Asher. Again something I don't like in my favorite characters.
It's a shame that with just a few paragraphs, my opinion of the book changed so much. Are the characters really so different from what I originally imagined?

"I took Goliath down with a lick." Oh... that one was just priceless!!!!!
I had to re-read some paragraphs in this chapter as I couldn't believe Asher actually slept with him (will avoid using a cruder word). With Anna and Zazk right next door? No prolonged foreplay or preparing Muffin? Well, I expected more delicacy considering it was Muffin's first time...
But other than that... wow, what a chapter. Like Muffin said, I expected Asher to wait until Muffin begged for it. But hey, I'm not complaining. I love that Muffin manages to rip off the cool and calm facade Asher often wears and shatters his control. As I said before, the chemistry between them is sizzling and I adore it.
I just hope all those repressed emotions and fears he has about water and the various "accidents" he has been in won't explode at some time, after being bottled up for so long.

Wow! I just finished chapter 9! That was astonishing! What an intense chapter.
I was so sorry that Porto died. I hept hoping until the very last moment that he might survive. The scene was beautifully written as I found myself immersed in the story and could easily feel Muffin's pain and grief at the sudden and tragic death of his pet. I shed a few tears myself when Muffin mourned the loss of his closest friend and went into shock from having the dog's blood on his hands. I wished there was something I could do to help ease the pain...
And then followed the scene in the bathroom which rendered me speechless. That was sizzling hot!! Finding out that Muffin was sexually inexperienced was a shock as much to me as to Asher. But it was so enticing to have Asher guide him in his first forays into self pleasure. The temperature spiked in the room while I was reading that! XD And then to prove that he was as heartless as he seemed, Asher stayed with Muffin until he fell asleep. I might have kissed Asher (on the cheek) for that kindness and care. The chemistry between those two is steadily increasing and I am soooo looking forward to reading more.
Wonder what the nightmares are about?...

Chocolate Chip Muffin
This was such a fun chapter. I'm quite intrigued by Muffin's behavior and reasons for lashing out at almost everyone. Also curious what Asher intends to do (must admit that last remark about punishment got me thinking of spankings...). Why would someone of his status decide upon such a reward for his savior?
Lots of questions. Looking forward to seeing how the story will unfold.
