I adored this story.
Loved the characters.
Muffin was too yummy and sassy. Would have
Loved to see this 2 character continue on their love story
With a happy ever after to the best of their life's circumstance.
In the second book I was not too happy with the different ways the
Author was trying to direct muffin to another relationship.... It did not hold my attention as much as
Ash and muffins relationship did.
This is book 1 is finish , but book 2 is not , so I'm left very disappointed.
But other wise this was an awesome read.

“Don’t be stupid kid,” the good cop continued, “You can help a lot of people here, save a lot of lives. We get Asher Pickett off the streets and viola, the world is that much better. You get me?”
Viola is either a women's name or a musical instrument, you wanna use 'voilà', that's the French word

I just reread this entire thing, I think it's been years since I read it, and I reread it to catch up to updates to the sequel. I actually just randomly thought about this story a couple of days ago, and I felt my chest squeeze, cause I was shocked! How could I have forgotten about it and the sequel! I kept track of it when you were updating, and something happened in my life made me stop enjoying things for a while, including reading. So I forgot all about it. It's feels very good to read it again and find that I still love it. Lol. I'm getting ready to reread Matthew now.
Anyways...
This is such a great story. Till the very end, you had my head spinning with suspicions about Asher. What a relief and shock to find that he was trying to protect Matthew the entire time, meanwhile accidentally falling for him! Ha. And Vincenzo and Alrick, they grew attached to him, and Matthew to them. And what a cruel thing for all of them to lose each other, once again going back to seperate lives, but something still missing altogether. Matthew for them, and them for Matthew.
If you have a mailing list for updates, I would very much like to be added to it.

I love this story! It's so good! And I love Muffin. One thing I don't get though... In Apple muffin, when Vincenzo scares him and he drops his sandwich, why did he throw it all away? He used to say people were wasteful and threw away perfectly good food and then he ate it out of the garbage. Doesn't he think throwing the sandwich away is a waste? Especially since he knows how much it means to have food. Why not eat what was salvageable? It couldn't have been too bad, unless the floor's really dirty, but seems like Asher would have had it cleaned before if it was.

Hey. Love the story so far. Very non-formulaic, and with a homeless character (not your everyday hero, but I love it.)
So I have two nitpicky things. In ch. 8 you misspelled 'Voila' which is a satisfied remark, but you spelled it 'viola', which is a musical instrument.
Nitpicky number two, you have described the tongue several times as an organ. The tongue is a muscle. Brains, spleen, and livers are Organs...
Can wait to see what happens next!

This is one of the best stories I have ever read, both online and from physical books. Muffin's sarcastic, uncaring personality towards the beginning is what original drew me into the story, but after wittnessing his transition as a person, physically and emotionally really was...how should I put this...it left me awe struck by the end of the story. This is definatly going to be a story which I will never forget! Keep up the exceptional work and I look forward to reading your follow up, "Matthew!"
