I'm now interested in seeing how he'll get out of ratting out Asher since Vincenzo is certain Asher will kill him. You've got me on the edge of my seat and I'll be waiting impatiently ;)

So happy I remembered to check this story for updates. (^__^)
I like the name Matthew. I'm not sure why but it feels right for Muffin's character.
The scene betwee Muffin and Asher in chapter 22 (when they're each pointing out eachothers scars and telling the stories of how they got them) was just aborable. And that thing with Vincenzo near the beginning of chapter 24 was just...

...I think I blushed. It was interesting to have Vincenzo be so blunt like that (and by interesting I mean very hot). Also it's nice to finally get some insight into Asher's head.
You said that the story is nearing its end. With other stories I can usually tell how it's going to end, wether "happy" or "sad", but I just can't tell with this one. I like all these characters so much, yet I can't escape the feeling that terrible things have yet to still happen to them. Knowing that the end is coming doesn't help me feel better (the end of a story is normally where main characters get killed off).
Anyway, thanks for the updates and I'll be eagerly waiting for the next.

I've been reading all of this at once and loving it, but you killed me with this chapter. I cannot handle animal trauma. I cried so hard and I know that was your intention, but it was cruel. I couldn't even appreciate the shower scene :/

Muffin (I have the urge to call him Matthew) finally has his facts straight! And, awe, Asher was only trying to protect him all this time. Sometimes it seems like he can't just be straightforward. >__< I don't remember and it doesn't really seem like we have, but have we met Carter in the story yet? It sounds like Muffins going to be separated from Asher for some time, and I certainly hope not! D;
Also, I noticed a little grammar error~ in the last sentence in the paragraph before the line, "The red light went on." (hopefully you understood that), the word 'waist' was spelt 'waste'. I make smalls errors like those, too. As well as typos -- in my last review I spelt 'shirts' as 'shorts'... ARGH, fail!
More chapter title suggestions : Flakey Muffin, Glazed Muffin, Moist Muffin, Cream-filled Muffin (this one sounds a bit misleading...), Buttery Muffin, Coffee Muffin, and... that's all I have got for now. ^^;
Can't wait for next week!

Update! Yippee ^_^ Thank you! I'm dying to see what happens next, and most of the plot stuff in the last section made sense. I followed it at least. Now I really hope that you can magic up a happy ending, because boy all the trouble is piling up!

Still enjoying this, but I'm having to suspend my disbelief for Muffin's age. He's supposed to be 18, right? I know he's been homeless for however many years, but his naivete makes him seem more like 15. Sixteen at the most. I have a hard time believing that he knows *nothing* at 18.
Anyway, I promise I'm enjoying this. I get aggravated with both of them at times, but at the same time, it's interesting to watch the push/pull between them.

WHOOO-HA! Action! And, no I can't think of anything you forgot to answer, at least not at the moment... maybe when it all settles... ;) I wanna slap Muffin around a bit, the kid should RUN! But if he did, the ending would probably be a whole less interesting, of course... ;) I can feel it coming, and I'm grabbing my pillows rather hard here... I won't dare hope for a "happy" ending, but... no... won't hope... ;)

no this was a good chapter. explained a lot.
But still Muffin shoud die with the amount of blood he's loosing, also how will Asher react?
Also smy ass he's covering his father-he's a badass wearing a suit and being hot doesn't change the fact that ppl like him in RL snap their fingers and a war beggins just so they can do money laundry and get rid of old guns to buy new. hahahaha such is the nature of the world we live in. So keep it real. It can have romance but life is no-romance breeze.
