i'd have to agree with people. while i loved the angst, i had hoped that it would all be worth it and have a happy ending :( i was also very much into the characters so i feel kind of stupid now, hehe. but it's your story and you have the right to manipulate it however you want :)

This has been a fantastic story. I was wary of reading something where the main character is called "Muffin" and I didn't really want to read it. After having it seen recc'ed like whoa I decided to give it a try. Thank God, I did. You really have the talent to create characters and atmosphere.

But I did not like this ending. It felt as if you were just trying to finish it so it could be labelled as "complete". It was rushed and unlogical (as in the characters' actions didn't make sense) and left me utterly disappointed.

I think it would have been better to give it more time and write it properly, even if the update would have taken a while. This story deserves better than that.

Hi, me again, so to bother you with another review but that's what you get for such a fantastic epic angst mini series. I was just thinking and forgot to mention it.... not to mention I read the whole Muffin story all over again.
Muffin grew up, he's not a child anymore and now he wants to be known as Matthew his real name. I also noticed he was called sir in the hospital so that indicates he is now an adult and not a young homeless urchin anymore. I wanted to mention that I will miss his witty tongue and fast comebacks that have always gotten him into trouble. PLEASE WRITE A SEQUEL. I AM BEGGING YOU. PLEASE. PRETTY PLEASE. YOU DON'T HAVE TO UPDATE WEEKLY BUT JUST SAVE ME THE ANGST OF WONDERING WHETHER YOU WILL WRITE MORE ABOUT MUFFIN (MATTHEW), ASHER AND VINCENZIO. The not knowing is really killing me here so I am getting on my hands and knees to beg you PLEASE WRITE A SEQUEL REALLY SOON. Thank you! P.S. The ending can't be the end, can it?

Ahh no, you must continue, even if we do have to wait till Christmas. To be honest it is a fantastic ending, but I know that at least I need closure :P Loved this story, amazing the whole way through

I have loved this story from the start.I was kind of hoping for a happier ending but just the fact that they both are alive its good enough at this point.I will have to hope for a sequel for them to meet again (hopefully after they both have calmed down a bit).Thanks for sharing this Jem with us all.ps loved the titles in this series always gave me a laugh.

AAAWWW!!! Darn, I don't WANT it to be over! I want Asher to go hunting for Matt, I want it to be dangerous and hot and I DON'T WANT IT TO BE OVER!!!! *sobs* It WAS a good ending, though, because it was happier than I dared hope... Muffin/Matthew is alive, and the cops don't seen to have a real case against Asher, even though he's in trouble... so that's all good... I was fearing it would all go completly to hell... I mean, you killed the kid's dog for goodness sake! ;) I feel you should be much more confident in your writing... no one can read this story and not feel it, or, rather, love it... the charachters, especially muffin and Asher, but all of the supporting ones too, feel very real and easy to love/hate depending on who they are and the situations... you also had me rather scared and in tears as well as in fits of laughter during this, and I think thet the way my heart raced every time I saw that you updated is proof that I loved the story... I HOPE you will find the time to do a sequal but, if you do, I'm scared to death that I will miss it... please mark it clearly as a Muffin Sequel or add a chapter to this story saying it's out or something (because my brain now picks up the word "muffin" automatically, even if I just flip through the pages of a book... it's scary, really...)... Anyway, good luck with everything, and especially, of course, your writing!

I followed this story from start to finish and loved every second of it. I would be more than thrilled to read Matthew's story if you aren't sick of the characters yet. :P

I can't recall when I started reading this... but... it was sweet man...

And this last chapter... Wow.
Somehow, this sooo fits muffin. his character. his indecisiveness. his idiocy. his nativity. his deep-down-pure-heartedness. his gratitude. his loyalty. his bravery. his rashness.
it's all him him him. all of him is crushed into this last chapter that so befits him "Sweet muffin"

coz well, he's a sweetie, we all know it. despite all the other negative points he may have... he's still a sweetie.

*sighs* I feel so sad. Like. Why did it have to end this way?
But from the mere confirmation that, Muffin's testimony himself, and that recording device in the belt. Its the crucial Key to keeping Pickett locked up for good. And both crucial keys arn't there no more...

I guess it's safe to say that Asher is SAFE. And knowing him. suffering though heartbreak, betrayal, and what-not. It'll take that mafiaso no time at all to rebuild what ever part of his empire that is crashing down right now.

So yeah. all is safe. just give it time. All will be good again (minus what ever shady dealings Asher has).

Just... left... muffin... He is STILL such a mystery. Up till the very end.

I mean like, we learnt soooo much about Asher... and even thou we've learn a few crucial things about Matthew those crucial things are such basic things.
Like his NAME
and his AGE
and his rough background history.

those sorta stuff was like something we never had to guess about when it came to Asher. but when it came to Muffin, all that was a mystery.

So there's still alot alot to uncover about this MATTHEW... somehow, despite his... some-what-cowardice. I still feel that he's capable of bravery and greatness, one that he hasn't shown yet.

I dunno... Maybe............ in the sequel? *shiny eyes at you*
Arn't ya gonna miss my begging for the next chapter? xDDD

Maybe later on when I have more time. I'd do a "Begging for the Sequel" episode~ xDDD
with -puppy dog eyes version 360 degrees-. xDDD

This whole story, ESPECIALLY the last few chaps, had me flipping and summersaulting all over the place. Such a wonderful rollercoaster ride man!

This is an amazing story!!! I loved it. The end was great even if I really really hope that you decide to do aequel for it. We need to know what's going to happen to Matthew/Muffin, to Asher, Vicenzo and Alrick. Will he see them again? Will Asher ever forget him? T______T I can't live without knowing that! hahaha You did a wonderful job writing this story: the plot was awesome, the characters felt so real... you made me smile and feel so sad through the story. Please! Try to continue this! It is worth it and you're an excellent writer.

I reeeeaaaally want to hate you for this ending. It made me want to cry. Poor Matthew. Poor Muffin. I really want to know what happens to him. -begs for a sequel-
