I liked this chapter..I think it was a bit of relief that Jacob finally tried to sort things out. And I'm happy because I have the feeling that although he believes stuff will start to turn out better (ie Russel/new home/lack of Phoenix-sex etc) it will all go downhill from here. Hoping now for some Phoenix emotion to be sprung upon us :P But I think it's great how you've dragged out their crazy relationship which gives it more anticipation, rather than a rushed sex-fight-make up-The End scenario. Thanks for updating regularly as well. I had an AWFUL day today so this really cheered me up, which I hope cheers you up :D
Oh, and in answer to your question...although I adore Pilot, he just doesn't do it for Jacob the way Phoenix does (he's not nearly enough of an arrogant prick I guess) and Russel is very sweet but...enough said really. Not enough for Jacob, again. So yeah, hoping it will be Phoenix :) Well, it would be a shock if it wasn't him seeing as the entire story resolves around he and Jacob :P anyway, fingers crossed x

Munez, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! You made then end of 2009 a little bit brighter w/your update!
I am SO GLAD Jacob finally grew some to end it w/Phoenix. But seriously, is he THAT naive? You just don't end things w/Phoenix! I can not see Phoenix just rolling over and letting Jacob walk away. No, no, no; he's got something up his sleeve. Maybe'd he even convince Pilot to join him for another 3-way???? Hahah
Poor Jacob; it's for the better (for the moment, at least it's over), he knows being w/Phoenix is so bad for him mentally. I think Phoenix was right about Jacob's feelings; I think Jacob is confusing his "affection" and obsession for Phoenix for love.
Personally, I think Russell is the one Jacob should be with; he treats him so well and made him so happy with his offer to live together. That would be such a great idea, since Jacob didn't have any solid plans after high school anyway. But I know...Phoenix will NEVER let Jacob go. I think, despite the fact that Phoenix can't love anyone but himself (altho I don't really believe that either), he has some sort of feelings, fondness, whatnot for Jacob. I honestly don't think Phoenix thinks too highly of himself. I think he's just so used to controlling and manipulating people and getting his way with everthing and everyone, he lost sight of love a long time ago. I think if he truly loved himself, he wouldn't be putting Jacob through all he does. He wouldn't treat Felicity the way he does, or his family. I can't wait to learn more about what makes him tick. I think he's just so friggen bored with his life, he treats people like objects to use as he pleases.
I also like Trent as one of the minor characters; he seems like a good friend for Jacob. Again, I LOVE Russell and hope he and Jacob can be together. (But I know, that's in my fantasy world; Phoenix will find a way to sabatoge (sorry, I spelled it wrong) it. Phoenix may not be "in love" with Jacob, but he certainly doesn't want anyone else to have him either. I remember his jealous streak when Jacob first started hanging w/Russell and the necklace Russell gave him got ripped off Jacob's neck.
And in comment to one of your readers: I remember Brett distinctly; he was a real scumbag to Jacob.
Oh, one last comment: I didn't know Mickey D's had onion rings?! I don't think on the east coast of the US they do?
Anyway, awesome chapter as always and I can't wait for the next one.

Glad to see an update, even if it is tough on Jacob. It broke my heart when Jacob told Phoenix that he love him, and Phoenix's reaction. :(

Who he ends up with is a tough call because you have done such a good job with all the guys. I have to say though Phoenix gets my vote in the end because I love that kinky bastard. Though if he couldn't have him I think the next best thing would be goth boy ands Pilot last. I can't say I completely understood the scene with Phoenix but I am sure it'll come out soon.Happy New Year!

Thanks for the update! Definitely rooting for Phoenix! Russell would be such a lemony ending, while Phoenix would bring lots more drama/resolution. ;-)

Chapter 24 - ??????? WHAT. Over? With Phoenix? But......... no. Not possible. Don't make it possible. Okay, I agree that Jacob staying with Russel is obviously the happiest ending possible here and the best situation for him. HOWEVER, this story was way too deliciously fucked up for it to have a happy ending. My happy ending is probably Phoenix and Jacob continuing their fucked up relationship forever. Also, I'd really doubt you'd end the story without Russel finding out about Phoenix. And finding out about their relationship will drive Russel into a jealous rage.
Anyway, I hope the ending is like: everyone finds out about everything, people go crazy, Phoenix's life is ruined, Phoenix and Jacob fuck, aliens take over the earth, everyone dies. Curtain closes.

I'd definitely say Phoenix. I just can't imagine Russell and Jacob happily together because to me it seems that Jacob isn't THAT much into Russell. Jacob would cheat on Russell at some point and because Russell is posessive and jealous they'd break up eventually. And also, that ending would be waaaay to sappy for this story. :D
If I'd want as realistic end as possible, I guess Jacob wouldn't get a happy ending at all. :D well, I don't want that. :D so yeah, fucked up relationship with Phoenix definitely gets my vote. At least Jacob wouldn't get bored.

i love this story. i've enjoyed it since the beginning. jacob is one messed up kid and phoenix is one messed up adult. they so deserve each other. perhaps they just have to open up to each other so they could change? i dunno. but why do i have a feeling that jacob's confession just brought a crack on the dam and emotions were threatening to flow from phoenix?
anyway, as for the ending, i'd go with most votes which is phoenix. the story started out with him and jacob so it should end with both boys. but of course, not with a twist. like jacob does move in with russel but phoenix intervenes and rips jacob out of russel's arms and brings him to mykolos where they live fucking ever after.
