dude, standing ovation for Cal!! I love how sooo many guys full themselves into thinking the first time doesn't hurt girls. psh...lies. haha unless homegirl's been practicing, or homeboy's relatively small, first time is going to hurt lol
But enough of that--thanks for this short!! I really, really missed Tiger!! : ) you treat us readers so well Kabi. Thanks!

Wow. Every time I read this story I end up thinking about it for a really long time. There's so many possibilities: Cal gets really depressed, Cal tries to escape, Cal sucks it up and deals with it. And then there are the relationship aspects that go with that. How would Bos react if Cal was depressed all the time? What would he do to change it? How would that affect the pregnancy?
I was also thinking about their future, and what would happen if Cal did have the baby. Would he love it unconditionally? Would he be uncomfortable with children that resulted from such a strange and forced union? Somehow I can see him as a teacher, sitting next to his kid, and maybe Ami and Tiger's kids, and teaching them how to read or understand chemistry. I think one of the biggest questions your stories bring up is what, exactly, does a person live for? When they're stuck in that kind of situation, what do they do that they find meaning in, because really they're only expected to cook, clean, and have babies? I thought that Cal could have found that meaning through becoming a teacher, or through his children, but the whole tone of the story is so helpless and sad. It's like a giant Catch-22; there's really no way out. Even if he managed to escape, like Tiger had, there's such a hostile world out there.
Anyway, about this chapter, the scene on the mattress was really tense and nerve-wracking. Awesome atmospheric writing!! You are amazing. I also loved the last part with Miljan and Tiger, where Miljan tells Tiger he was very kind to do what he did. Now I'm just really curious to see how Cal and Bos handle his first night. I think it's very interesting how Bos has held out until now. Very different from, say, Yavisk, and more like Miljan, but Bos is definitely in between the two in terms of his treatment of carriers. I went back and reread the other chapters too, and noticed that Bos says he has great affection for Cal. Hmmmm. I wonder how that's going to play into their relationship dynamic. I also think it was great that Bos didn't beat Cal and even sort of complimented him for being loyal and not giving up Tiger.
As always, eagerly awaiting the next chapter!!

You do manage to build a lot of tension into a single brief moment.

You know, I sometime get the feeling that Miljan is more of a "parent" of Tiger's than anything else. I mean, I hate the fact that he punished Tiger. But, I saw it more of a parent spanking their child than a spouse spanking their 'wife'. I'm not sure why. And because of that, I sort of don't hate what he did all that much because I view that way (spanking a child to me =/= spanking a spouse). It's weird!! haha and I know it doesn't make sense, since they obviously are having sex, but idk. These people and this world Kabi!! haha insane!

Whoa! I really hope you finish this story. I like this a little better tan the core stories because there are less characters and it is easier to connect with them. I think that leaving the cast small makes it more cohesive and more interesting. it gives a good sense of how life is for these men. Cadet Murphy and Bos are gong to have a careful road to follow. I want to see if Bos is gentle (as he seems to be very patient) or if he becomes ultra domineering like some of your other dominant men. As for Murphy, I want to see the "smart" side coming out more and I really love his progress the emotions he is going through. I am really enjoying the story in a nutshell. Please finish it and don't introduce too many characters
