An update. Hurray! I was very sad this chapter (like the doctor maybe) because Keeran will not let Devin heal. Keeran has such a fiery temper that he was going to whip Devin even knowing the state that he was already in. And now he wants Devin to whip Snake. Keeran must be freaking crazy if he thinks that Devin would inflict pain on the only person who has taken care of him since he got into that house. I just hope Devin can use his brain to get himself and Snake out of that whipping. (Maybe if he asks nicely - the way Keeran likes) I still love Keeran though - as much as you can love such a brutal guy but he is still hot. Too bad he keeps screwing up.

No way! When Devin know the pain from the whip, he cannot be expected to whip another, causing them pain!

=( AWWWW!!!! Poor Devin! How could Keeran make him whip "Snake"? After all the whipping the boy had to endure, no way would he ever want to inflict that kind of pain on anyone else! >< Poor "Snake" too... *sighs* XD I LOVE this update!!! Can't wait 'till the next one! =D

Damn way to leave us on a cliff hanger! So some of my thoughts on the chapter: I found it strangely cute that K. had all the men looking for him (even if they were just following orders you could see concern there) and I'm so glad D. found his voice and K. actually listened to him and didn't just beat him up again. K. has really gotta listen to that doctor though. He's lost his call ins for medical care so I'm really hoping that, since D. just threw up when given the job of whipping someone, he'll firstly refuse to do it and then K. and him can have a chat and start sorting things out. I don't know how I feel about an actual psychiatrist being brought in (especially with D. thinking he's a pet - that years or serious therapy), but he really does need to talk to someone and K. has really gotta specify what he expects of D. since clearly the rules of the old master don't apply. I'm curious to see how all this is going to play out...and hesitant too since I don't think K. is going to let either Snake or D. off easy since it would undermine his authority in front of his men. On that note what the hell is he thinking traumatizing D. right after the doctor tells him the boy needs psychological help!?! Please update soon!

Hm...idk. I feel like the story's been dragging for a while now. We see a step forward in Devin's situation, but then two steps back. It would be great if we can see some progress in Master/Devin's relationship without bad things always happening afterwards.

wow. I really hope Keeran doesn't make him do it!! : ( ( I was kind of hoping he'd have stepped forward but I think that kind of defiance would be too much for him at this point. And here I am again, in tears lol amazing. keep doing what you're doing!

I love your story; it's so desperately somber and makes my heart ache every time.

I feel for them both so intensely. Devin's been so abused and tormented he no longer thinks of himself as a person, merely an object or possession. His withdrawal is a protection method, it removes him thus allowing him to try and assume the role of a perfect pet. But as he was so beaten down for being his own person, he can't discern Keeran's seemingly illogical behavior. Compliance and correct, desirable behavior were his only defense against injury.

It must be terrifying to see such a fractured person, especially when Keeran considers that could have happened to Ronan. He's baffled and frustrated by Devin's shutting down and cannot comprehend the redhead's passive and unresponsive behavior. Even if he thought Devin was a whore, he never could have expected a person trained to be a living doll. Keeran seeks Devin as his own entity, but how the hell does he go about drawing that out?! Not to mention he can't fathom precisely what Devin went through nor does he understand the logic behind Devin's behavior.

So, I'm severely worried over the fact that the curtain fell back over the window and he thus might not be immediately visible to whomever checks on him next as that would likely get them riled up at least a bit. Why, oh WHY, couldn't he pull the surtains back and sleep in the chair? When the deathly ill person who's supposed to be asleep in bed is not there immediately and ought to have no means of, for lack of a better word, escape, people react.

It's three thirty in the morning where I am, so I hope that made some kind of sense. Love it, can't wait to see were it keeps going.
