Oh, dear. My heart leaps a little bit to see you update. I am glad that my eyes didn't trick me when I scroll down and found Chapter 25 ready. Everyday since the last update, whenever I get my internet connected, I couldn't help it but clicking for the story to see if there's update. I am officially addicted. (Please do something about it ^_^)
First of all, I like the prose and the pace. From the first sentence of this chapter, you grabbed my attention. Devin is surely a perceptive and smart young boy (I wish Keeran will sort things out with his relationship with Devin and able to focus more on kid's potential), but he's too scared to measure his surrounding objectively. Not kid's fault, since the trauma caused by twisted and sick Genarelli, and his new surrounding isn't exactly supportive either. Devin is a very strong boy. Joey once pointed this. But we can see how Devin managed to survive those misfortune events not completely broken. That's a miraculous thing.
Ok, I must admit, Keeran's temper is not something I'm very fond of. But possessiveness is my kink, especially in slave story. His rage when he thought Devin's gone has caused the boy lashed, backhanded. That's so not cool, Keeran (slap his head). But Keeran's no saint nor hero. His character is one with so many flaws. He probably has his heart divided into two. Black and white. When he hated someone (Genarelli for example, or someone that he wanted to be killed in early chapter --> mentioned in a phone call), he wanted them to suffer and dead and lost from his sight. He view Devin, at first with this part of heart. He doesn't mind him to be raped, hit, kicked, spat with ugly words. But something about Devin has caught his attention. Maybe it's Devin's ability to tune out his surrounding, far and distant away the pain, and went completely blank (a method to keep his sanity). Maybe it's Devin's look, his red locks, freckles, lips, eyes. Maybe its combination of all those. When he said "My guess is as good as yours, Raspberry." I went.... Ok I get it now.
He slowly changed his view towards Devin using the "white" side of his heart. It's not that the white side means that he treats Devin kindly and super sweet. That's just not in his character. And whoever say that he's a fair person? He likes people, he hates some other. He treated some people relatively indifferent, some with almost a respect (ie: Tobih). What happened if he never found Devin to be in his liking or at least as intriguing? (if Devin happened to be annoying spoiled slave, or with boring straight blond hair, not as cute freckles, lips, or eyes, or combinations of all) I am sure if that's the case, he will never find the same urge to act nice to Devin. Maybe he will let him kept and then sold to market, or maybe forgotten forever. Keeran, in my opinion, is that kind of man.
In this chapter, Devin is caught to feel something, which I hope can cure his insomnia, once he started to get used to hang out in Keeran's bedroom. Maybe it's his scent. Maybe it's his presence. I hope he can at least get the long, deep, satisfying sleep he deserved.
And it's very touching to see Joey protested Keeran's reluctance to invite Tobih to check on Devin's bruise by refusing to serve for his breakfast. And quite funny too, to see Keeran grudgingly prepare for his own breakfast. It shows that they are quite close as master and servant, although Devin hasn't know about it yet.
Darling, sorry for the long review. And like always, I am in a withdrawal until you come with another dose of Forgotten. I love you, and please don't stop writing the continuation of this story, or I will be a miserable-miserable fan girl. <3

I would love to get inside of Keeran's head and see what he is thinking about.
Poor Snake, it doesn't look good for him. But for some reason I think nothing will happen to him. At least I hope so.

I just love your characters. Raspberry and Keeran's relationship is so complex that you want to see what happens next. I wonder if Keeran will ever get it right and if Raspberry will become more comfortable around Keeran. The little heartsickness was a nice touch. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Yay for the update! It's funny how he seems to worry about everyone else but himself. I can't wait until they all figure out that he is special and deserves the world!

Joey seems to be tired of all he is doing for Devin, just to be blown in the thin air when Keeran shows up! It seems like Keeran ruins everything!
The bath scene was encouraging :) can I hope? When Keeran wants to grow up? lol he seems like a child who wants a toy and do whatever to get it ... no logic, no concern, ... he is not considering anybody else's feelings ...
hmm... BTW, I was thinking if I can't get sleep like Devin even for a few days, 2 or 3, on the 4th day I can't walk straight, everything would goes around in my head and I would fall! How can Devin still hold himself up? Sooner or later he would fall ... I rather see him hugging Keeran's pillow and sleep ... that was a sweet scene ^_^
T.T now I have to wait for another week or so for next update! T.T your writing is just sooo intimidating that it's hard to wait for more! It just makes us to crave for more ^_^

I'm glad to see another chapter. It seems that Devin is getting a little better, though he's still afraid of the unknown.
