It's amazing seeing the changes in the characters from chapter 1 to the present. Everything happened so gradually I had to go back and look over all the chapters again to see how they got to this point. K. looks like he's trying to be nice, D. is coming out of his shell and wants to do things - he even has a nice relationship forming with Snake/J. Speaking of which, it seems like K. is jealous of D.'s attachment to him, but maybe he should be taking pointers on how to act! Even when he's trying to be nice like leaving dinner and going to bed early so D. can sleep, he does it in such a beastly fashion that he still ends up scaring the kid or hurting him. It's good that D. will be going to more doctor appointments - he definitely needs it. I hope you'll write a scene so we can see what kind of questions the doctor asks and D.'s reaction. I also think it might be beneficial to have Snake (maybe even K. depending on the questions being asked) sit in on the session to encourage D.'s answers along. I know that shouldn't happen in normal circumstances since sessions should be private, but if he's under 18 his guardian is entitled to know what happens during the sessions anyway and...well these aren't normal circumstances! I anxiously await a new chapter.

(26) Good grief could Devin be any cuter, I loved the whole 'you can call me Snake' conversation and the need to make sure that Joey's alright overriding the fear of doing something he maybe shouldn't, too cute :)
Considering I still think of the relationship between Keeran and Devin as an abusive one (there seems to be a lot of hit first ask questions later) I'm actually a little impressed Keeran realized what was making Devin so upset. Now the question is is he actually changing or is this like in a lot of abuse relationships where there's that period of time after the hitting when they act nice to make up for it but it's just the calm before the storm. Admittedly this along with everything else that Keeran has put Devin through makes me think that it would be very difficult for Devin to think of him as anything other than a master, if Keeran can live with that than fine but if he's expecting something else he may be disappointed. I guess a lot depends on Keeran's expectations.
I rambled on I know but I have to admit that there's just so much to consider and I like that you haven't had Devin just get better. I've never understood how someone can think that a person could be raped/abused and be fine within no time, you've let things unfold slowly and there hasn't been a quick fix and it's obvious that Devin is never going to be 'normal'. Looking forward to the next update, it's hard to imagine that this may be wrapping up soon as I've rather fallen for your Devin and Joey too :)

No pancakes ever. Will Devin ever know his last name? How did Keeran figure out that Devin had nothing to do with Ronan's kidnapping and slavery? Will Gernnardi pay for what he has done?

Wow,
I am still waiting for the moment that they all realise how much Devin is affection starved. I was glad Snake finally gave him a big hug but they all need to start giving him a lot more of those.
Where has Ronan gone to? I think he could really help them but he seems to have disappeared. Has he gone home to his parents? I hope he will come back some day.
I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

I thought,"Forgotten" would be as long as "Pain and... Pain".
Devin`s making such a slow progress and that makes it believable.
Please don`t rush things and take your time writing new chapters!

himself on Devin, but he`s still lacking sensitivity.But at least he´s trying...:)
