Fucked up indeed. But, well, with someone like Devin, I think being fucked up should be allowed.
Can someone please just REASSURE the poor dude! He's fretting like crazy! How's he gonna even begin to enjoy the holidays? And why can't he just wear that soft hoodie. He'd look cute in it! Hoodies and people like Devin is the recipe of cute and adorable!

I hope Ronan stays longer, and helps Devin experience what's it like to be a normal boy.
I hope... I don't know what I'm hoping for.
But judging from the flow of your writing... Seeing as to how much time has went by without a sex scene. I'm thinking Keeran's gonna be feeling a bit deprived - if he isn't getting release elsewhere. Then when he goes to Devin for some relief, Devin's just gonna have a panic attack - when his overactive imagination gets the better of him.
That would be interesting! :D

I am glad you are posting chapters on this story again. I actually had "forgotten" all about this story, but it is one of my favorite original stories on this site. I think you are doing a wonderful job on developing Devin as he is starting to heal slowly from the abuse he has suffered in the past. He still has a very long way to go yet. Where is this story placed? and where was the orphenage that he was in last? Are they ever going to try and find out more about his past, like his last name,etc?

Looking forward to more chapters as you post them.

So Happy! I decided to check the site to see whether this had been updated... and it was! Another sweet little chapter. I am loving your updates! Devin is so cute and confused and I can't wait for the moment when he realises that he really does love Keeran. I loved the moment when he crawled into Keeran's lap. I love that Ronan finally had the opportunity to talk with Devin alone. I thought Devin's christmas presents were perfect! I really hope he does feel brave enough to wear the hoodie... that boy needs to keep warm lol he is too thin... oh! i seriously am in love with this story! The way it was so dark at the beginning means that the good times seem even better by comparison and it is just such a relief to see little Devin being cared for... And Snake was as lovely as usual.

Aw, Devin's got a little family.
He's still got his issues, but he seems to be close to adjusting his mind to something close to normal.

I'm a little late to be saying this, but after such a long hiatus, it's good to see you updating this story again! It's definitely one of my favorites on here.

I like that it's not just some hastily cobbled together relationship; the pacing between Devin and Keeran is slow and realistic, unlike some others I read where they just jump into bed and tada!! Years of previous abuse fade away and you magically have a cured, normal human being with no trace of psychological trauma whatsoever. Your characters are nicely developed, and don't suddenly act in contrast to what you've written before....all in all, a great story, I can't wait for the next update :) I have a feeling something might break the thin layer of calm they've got going on Christmas morning, but I hope it all ends out well :D

So, I just spent the last few hours reading this whole monster of a fic. Wow. That was really amazing. Maybe I read too much yaoi in my time, but I loved how you wrote Devin, especially how you're writing his Stockholm's Syndrome. Your characters are so fleshed out and realistic and Devin's voice, the way he describes everything, is brilliant. I love how everyone misunderstands him and how he totally doesn't get it and how he's changed so much and just. Yeah. This was great.

Rooting for Snake/Devin, but I'm excited to see where this is going regardless.
