A great story, I have read it more than once until now. You are a good storyteller, with an extraordinary sense of introspection and you know, you are psychologist material. The characters are strong and beautifully depicted, the action is subtle, and the mind games (or mind work) are excellent. I am in admiration for your talent. This last chapter (38) was too short, and I am very curious what happened to Devin: if it is just a panic attack or a real heart attack. Because a lot of studies reveal that the persons who were traumatized for ling period of time develop a lot of diseases (beside psychological ones) as heart problems, liver, stomach, autoimmune ones or glandular. So, I am waiting for the next chapter, and please don't let us wait for too long. Thank you for your stories and your dedication.

(38) Keeran's anger seems to be so out of proportion with what happened. What should have been a normal experience to get Devin used to everyday things is probably going to be completely ruined by Keeran's actions. He gets angry that Devin fears him all the time and yet he keeps doing things that reinforce that he should be in fear and never relax. We know Keeran's in a business that works on fear and intimidation but with Devin he just comes off a bully. What does Keeran think the rest of Devin's life is going to be, him locked up in the house and interacting only with him.

The chapter had started off so well, even Devin thinking that he wanted Snake to leave him alone was a good sign I thought that he was starting to relax and have more normal thoughts, instead of constantly worried about acting appropriately. He may not be able to act on it but he was at least showing some personality and progress.

Unfortunately that ending has me worried, I think it's no surprise how fragile Devin is but I have to wonder if Keeran has the compassion and patience to deal with the aftermath. I remember Keeran saying that he could whip Devin because he thought he was tough and could handle it but if it turns out that Devin isn't that strong physically (or mentally) what's Keeran going to do then?

Can't even begin to imagine what's going to happen next but I can't wait for the next chapter to find out :)

Woooooo! Is it hot in here?! What an exciting chapter! Speaking of pent up emotion, this whole Xmas section has had me on the edge of my seat waiting for "this is going to go horribly wrong." I love it!

You're right ! It's a mean end ! ^^
I hope you're going to update soon...

After all this time Keeran doesn't understand Devin !
Does he love him ? If he's jealous, he must loves him ?!
I hope he's going to be alright... Poor Devin... T.T

Wow! Great chapter as always, way to leave us hanging! ;)

I love the platonic relationship that Snake/Devin have, I like that he has someone who cares for him in a completely non-sexual way. I'm just saying that because I noticed some people in reviews saying that they liked them as a couple, but I think if Snake ever came on to Devin (because Devin would likely never come on to him unless he thought he was in trouble and had to) that it'd break the poor boy mentally... even more than he already is.

Annnyway, thanks for another kickass chapter. I love your work!
