This fic is getting better with every chapter. The developement about Maika's burnt wing ridges was a bit disturbing :) I suppose, this makes him a hadicapped faerie. Don't faeries have laws about something like this? Akitra, however unlikeable, may be actually taking care of Maika's needs. In this case, he was probably checking out Maika's roommate and not being a total AH to Jak. Nice suspense :)

Oh, dear, what if he is "the only one on the universe". And the legend is loosely based on facts... On another hand, what would he be doing going to school - and failing his studies?
Pretty good development on exchanging the numbered stones.
The name of the story is Broken Wings. I've one person with a broken wing - or ripped off. Wonder if the name it metaphorical here.

CHAPTER 6
This is getting interesting. The first couple of chapters were a bit heavy, but as the story progresses its getting captivating.
I really like the were-shark guy, even though he is a negative type. And Jak can't part with the earth for too long, which must also mean that any air travel is out of question. I'll be reading this one to see where the story goes :)

Jak start at school is getting very interesting. All the characters from the weres, mages to his roommate and the rest of the fae. I look forward to watching him and the story develop.
