Alright let me at least try to get constructive review out [my brain is so high on endorphins...]
George is a sublime narrator; his emotions are raw, realistic. I found myself loving and hating a person/object
as much as he does. However, that said, the award for the most impressionable character has to go to Jeffery.
He's eccentric, fucking over the top but ultimately the most humane bastard in the room. I love him!
The anxiety surrounding the fate of these two could raise my blood pressure...need to stay off the salt....
The structure and plot is very engaging...it kept me eagerly clicking for the next chapter, and ultimately
that's what a good story does. Other than the very few and far between spelling errors, this is hands down one the
most solidly coordinated story I have ever read.
Great Job! Bravo! ...better yet...Brave-O!!!

This is still one of my favorite stories on the internet. Each time I see an update I feel like you do when you get an unexpected present in the mail.

I'd meant to comment on the last chapter, to say that Gregory was incredibly sexy, and his window into the emotions that drive the vampires took my breath away. It was a complicated thing - the feelings are human, sure, but the level is so intense...I think you're doing a marvelous job at making the vampires seem both human and monstrous at the same time. Despite the smoking hotness of that scene, (and yes, I did have to fan myself) I've got to weigh in as a voice that still hoped George wouldn't end up with Greg. Jeffrey, with his unconventional views, is the best of a bad deal for our hero. And, I sense he feels a bit of responsibility for the mess he's gotten his mouse into.

This last chapter was wonderful, even though George's breakdown had me almost in tears. I am hoping that Jeffrey intends what I think he does.

There is a sense of the original human behind each of the vampires that is really intriguing. From the little things like Nadette's accent and distaste for men and Sydney's very foreign demeanor to the comment Jeffrey made about working his way through families, these hints at the personalities that form the vampire power structure are fascinating. I think, given George's situation, (and here I hearken back to the prologue) that any hope for human dignity is going to come from exploiting that, rather than from joining an underground militia.

Another great chapter. Please update soon again. :)

Yay Jeffrey is back! I was beginning to worry that Gregory was going to carry him off. I'm desperately in love with this story. It's so compelling and all of the characters are well written and interesting. It's great. I can't wait to see what Jeffrey has up his sleeve.
