I don't think someone like Mason can be saved or redeemed. He's a cruel and heartless bastard who deserves to be punished. I hate him. I still think there is hope for Jake but only if he has the strength to stop Mason before it's too late. I don't usually swear so apologize but Mason irks me something awful for the way he treats people. I am so hooked now to find out how the rest of story unfolds.

I'm kinda glad I only read the whole story up to this point today so I seemingly didn't have to endure the longish wait for ch13 like my more unlucky fellows. I saw the title of it often, I honestly dun know why I've stalled reading it for such a long period.

I'm intrigued, and though it seems the general opinion about Mason varies at great lengths I can't help but be especially intrigued by him. He is one fascinating character. Every chapter I thought 'maybe this time we see some feelings through a crack in his armor'....but you left him greatly emotionless since the beginning. Not a peep about whats going on in his mind. By now I'm not even sure he ever had this particular asset ('feelings') ingrained in him.
But I'm not giving up on him. I will stick to this story until the end because I hope to the see him falter, get flustered, even if it's just one time. In whatever way possible, I don't care.

Just when I think I have Mason and Jake figured out, you throw me a curve ball.
There are parts of me that think Jake is going to end up in a mental institution and other parts of me that think he's going to end a psycopath.
I'm not sure really what future I'm hoping for.
I want him to have a 'good' life. But really I don't see that happening.

YAY glad to see you back!! I had to reread the last couple of chapters to reorient myself to get used to the story again; but the new chapter was awesome!! Glad to see that Jake is in again and I still wonder about Mason and his craziness XD!! Great chapter, can't wait for more!

I am so glad to see another chapter. Love this story and your writing. I like Jake and hope he can remain human even with all the abuse from Mason. It's not like he wants to be a thug. I hope he can rescue himself and his sister.

I am so glad you have finally updated this particular story and it's been
one LONG and AGONIZING wait. I nearly forgot this story existed until I
saw it up and refreshed my mind by reading all the chapters over again.

I actually felt sorry for Marcus and hope he's ok and of course Jake has to be.

Mason is such a bad ass and I don't know whether to love or hate him.

I sincerely hope updates are more frequent now and don't get discouraged
by any lack of reviews. It might take some of your older fans awhile to discover
this is once again a WIP.

Jet Levy I am so glad that you are still working on this. I cannot even imagine how things will work out for Mason and Jake. I wonder what would have happened if jake had lost the match. Keep up the good work. I can't wait to see what will happen next.
