This is such a good start. I'm keen to find out what all the species are that you have unusual names for. Usually so many new words overwhelms me when I read fantasy but you've carried it off so well, I could gather from the context who were the bad, who were the good,and who were the average everyday people. I hope you continue this, it definitly has my interest!
