This is a great beginning! i've been on this site for just about a month, and this is the first story i kept reading for more than the initial chapter. you've really got some good things going on here. my stories on this site are taken from the elfish perspective, too, so i identified with the main characters immediately. you've got a really nice way of phrasing things--your flow seems to come easily to you. just one slight critique: you use "a bit" a bit too much. it tended to make me think you were less certain of things when you said that, and there's no reason for you to be--its a good story. keep writing it! i'll be sure to look for it as it progresses.

i think it's a pretty good start. sorry i'm not real great at reviewing, but i am interesting in reading more.
