Oh. My. GAWD! That was awesome! Perhaps we can have some Soren/Balin action soon? Pretty please? Can you explain a little more about the virus thing?

Chapter 1-18. Wow. The world, the language, the characters are all to die for! Beautifully written and you kept me guessing on what will happen. Didn't expect Soren and Bret to hit it off the way it did and didn't think Bret's dad would be in jail. I guess I was mostly stuck on what Bret, Balin and Soren will do...Threesome? LOL I'm so anticipating that even though it might not happen. Then again, who's the say it won't? If it does, I think it will be interesting on how Balin and Soren will share Bret.

And wow. The history of Balin and Soren's people is interesting as well as the language. Is their language one that you were able to develop as you put the story together, or is it an actual language that someone like me have not heard of yet?

The virus is interesting. I would love to have that virus actually spread abundantly through out the earth. The difference it would make for the world.

I'm greatly anticipating the rest of the story among all the romantic hot romping. Also took a look at your pictures of Balin...... *nose bleed* OH GAWD! I want visuals of Balin, Bret in the middle and Soren making hot love.

An awesome story with hot steaming love sex. Keep up the great writing!

I'm so glad that Brett and Balin are together again, although there is all the trouble between them and Soren...
I really like it that Brett's disappearance got so much attention! Somebody DID care! So sweet! And it was good to see Logan again ^^
Now I wonder what Balin will do when/if he sees Brett hugging Logan n_n

Howdy! Too lazy to log in again . . .

I think - in all honesty - I was a little put off from reviewing for a while as I was a little put off the story . . . not because it was badly written or anything, - quite the contrary! - but just because I personally dislike any stories with sexual abuse and/or infidelity. To me it was unforgivable that Soren could essentially rape Brett by pretending to be someone else, and that Brett could then later give in and betray Balin's trust . . . I guess I took to skim-reading as opposed to fully reading. It was still interesting enough that I wanted to read on, but just a bit too painful for me to want to read in detail.

I have been reading the last few chapters properly though. I thought it was rather emotive how you described Brett's pain, rather poignant too, and I loved how Balin's forgiving of him was rather realistic and sympathetic, especially his reasons. I was so pleased when they came back together, it almost makes all of the drama worth it! They are such a cute couple, although I'm interested to see how Soren comes into it all. I can see why Soren might be emotionally invested, or why he might also be mated to Brett (good job foreshadowing that earlier, actually!), although I still hope it'll just be Brett/Balin. It's nice to see some karma for the parents too, and to be back on Earth to see how the others reacted to his disappearance. In a way it brings it all full-circle, too :)

It's nice to see Balin back in the story too . . . it felt like something was missing in the story with his absence, so now the story feels complete again :)

Don't be sad! I absolutely love this story. And, in fact, this is the first story on AFF that I've actually reviewed even though I've read probably around 50, so feel better! :P I can't tell you enough how much I adore this story. I love the mixtures of sex, angst, and moral ambiguity that you have mixed together into your creation :) It's very refreshing to read about characters with more than 1 dimension, be that "SEX SEX SEX" or "SAD SAD SAD" or some combination of the two. I especially enjoy how you have written Brett's character. I feel like he had appropriate, real-world reactions and emotions to the problems that he faces, and that's something that I think a lot of writers find hard to capture. Keep up the good work :)

Awwww, so good...finally Brett and Balin can be together again on Earth, just as I hoped. I'm curious how Brett will react to Balin's and Soren's jealousy heheee... and how will
they adapt in the new world especially after feeling jealousy and other emotion that makes Brett human, even the negative ones...

Yay, more Logan. I just like him so much, don't really know why. Hope he's not evil like Soren. I wonder what's going to happen between Soren and Balin because apparently Balin does not trust him either. I wonder if he was lying about the whole "activated by virus thing...Will Brett try to get his dad out of Jail...and what is going to happen with Logan...will he be a mate as well and go back to monstertopia? Lol, this chapter has brought a lot of questions. This story is going so much further than I could have imagined and I'm glad you decided to write. Keep it up and I'll keep reading!

good grief what a mess. talk about hard core drafted. ne, if the kid can push aside the virus effects, does this mean the rest of humanity can too? What do they mean when soren said Brett activated his virus? *wishes you had a mailing list so i wouldn't keep missing chappie up dates.
