As usual it leaves me wanting more! Especially with your cliffies! I would definitely say that this is the most original and out of this world story I've read in a while. It always keeps me on my toes! I never know what to expect!

I see you've spent a great deal thinking about your story,plot and monster culture. That's not always easy but the extra depth makes the story much more believable. It's almost like reverse research. I'm working on a story that kind of has a similar premise of a human meeting up with a species with a different mind set, so I'm familiar with the challenges you face. Unfortunately I'm a very slow writer and the story is not completed yet so I'm not putting it up until I am. Still I envy you and other authors like you who can whip up a chapter Or two each week, sadly I'm a year into this commitment and don't see an end too soon.

i apologize foe being AWOL the last few weeks my computer had to be sent off to be fixed,when i got it back i just had to come catch up on what i missed XD i have to say though the sibling thing was a big surprise i thought soren would be a second mate

I really loved this chapter.
It was rather touching to go back to the heart of the story and feel the warmth and romance, it makes a nice break from the angst and drama. It's a great balance. I think so many authors can fixate solely on one or another, but with this story just when it gets angsty there's some romance to remind the audience of what's at stake and what's to gain, and it helps to build sympathy for the characters. It's so much easier to care for the characters - even Soren and Logan - when we see what goodness and caring they're capable of. It made for some excellent character development.
Now -! Have to ask -! Is Logan going to end up Soren's mate? If so that'd be so very cute and also stop poor Balin getting Soren in his way XD It's be rather poetic too for Soren to finally get a mate all to his self, especially one who understands what it's like to lose someone so loved . . . hell, Logan even hooked up with people after his 'love's' supposed death, just like Soren has done. They're like human/monster parallels of one another!
Can't write much today as I'm pretty sick, but I can say this chapter made me feel just a tad better :) It was a welcome distraction and I really look forward to seeing how it all plays out . . . plus, nice adult scene there ;)

Though I don't mind that you put both Bailin and Soren together it seems a little unlikely that Balin would allow Soren into his relationship with Brett so easily. I think it would have been 10xs more juicy if Soren had to "prove" his desire to be with Brett, maybe in the form of a show of dominance/submission?
Oh well, now Soren seems to have a new mate. Can't really say I care for Logan, but those two do make a good pair. Both are lying conniving assholes.

yaY! I can feel for Logan. He's just a stupid kid. He has no idea what he's doing, what he's messing with.
Well crap, poor Soren. that's just so bloody unfair. The people who say half a loaf is better than none, in this case, are talking out their bung holes. soren can sense that Brett isn't really his but it's all he's got. How do their people feel about suicide?

Is this the beginning for Soren and Logan....probably not cuz he is sooooo into Brett right now. The whole Soren/Logan thing just came out of left field and I was like What???? You get mad at him so you decided to make him horny and have sex? Maybe something is happening to Logan and we will find out next chapter.....Mixing human and monster blood is bad....right?
