Oh man, poor Theo. Hopefully the next six months will fly by so he won't have to worry about the trial so much. :(

It bugs me a bit that everyone keeps talking about murder, here. Murder requires "malice aforethought", whereas "self-defense and defense of others" is part of the definition of non-criminal homicide.
Of course I assume you're fully aware of this, but I just had the urge to say it. THEO ISN'T GETTING AWAY WITH MURDER BECAUSE THIS WASN'T MURDER.

NON-CRIMINAL.

Thank you, you may have your reviews back.

Wow at least you could get Mer some help. But shit, what will happen to Theo. He killed the bad boy but none the less he is a murderer now. You need to update as soon as you find the time I need to know how this will turn out.
Keep going it's gettibg better and better.

So much for telling Chales in a less shocking way ... I must say in all the excitement of the last chapter I didn't really think about these practical consquences for Theo. It annoys me that even in death this lowsy guy is still causing problems. I was amazed to see this so quickly. I wonder when Theo is going to really absorb the fact that he killed someone. If he's going to be OK with that, even though clearly it needed to be done.

It's like every new chapter has me tearing at my hair to know what happens next! AH! Reading this has made my day of writing papers SO much better!! Thank! I'm so nervous, but excited for the next chapter! Please keep them coming! Haha! I'm a total addict here! But seriously, this is SUCH a good story and this part is SOOOO dramatic, I'm like, "EEP!" the whole time I'm reading. (Does that make sense? Excitement doesn't make me the most coherent.) I love how Theo finally just had to break down and cry when he heard his mom's voice, I do that a lot to, like I can take anything and then my mom says one comforting thing and I'm a hot mess. OH! And I totally cracked up when Charles was like, "I'm going to do what!?" XD Thank you, thank you, thank you for the chapter!

I don't think he can be charged with murder. According to the law if you are protecting yourself or a third party from severe bodily harm you can not be charged or convicted of murder.

Whoa! For a moment there I thought Theo would be getting away with murder, I'm glad he's not, at least for the time being, and this opens up a whole new plot series. I predict angst and lots of it.

Now, for some criticism. Description! It's severely lacking in this chapter and the two before it at the very least. I know it makes the story look tenser to have short paragraphs flowing from dialogue to dialogue, but a reader (using myself as an example) doesn't want to read just dialogue, he wants to know what the characters are thinking and going through in detail, their physical and emotional reactions. In this case we'd only get whatever Theo can percieve from the other characters, but we CAN get in depth on Theo himself. Think about it.

Still love this story though, keep it up and I'll keep reading.
