Yay! Two chapters! (Note: thanks for the warning at the top of chapter nine; it saved me a good deal of confusion.)
Have I mentioned before how I envy your ability to tell a good, convincing story? Because this is great stuff. Wonderful as always. I do tend to worry a bit when there's a prolonged delay between updates, but whenever you do it makes me so happy. And I love the scene of them washing the car. It just fits. And the thought of the both of them shirtless and drenched in water is very, very hot, on so many levels. And Merrick's the closest to being "sweet" I've seen him after he concussed Theo. Seeing him worry like that shows that somewhere, deep deep down there, he does actually care, a little. I definitely can't wait to see where this one goes.

Mhm, you know how much I love "It's Like This" and all I has to say is: YES MORE CHAPTERS PLZ.
That aside, I love Better Now. It's getting to be so interesting. The characters are really interesting. I have to admit, Merrick is such an conundrum, and Theo is just ridiculously sweet. I'm looking forward to seeing where this will go.

Oh, poor frustrated Theo - such a genuinely nice person, and Merrick - almost diametrically opposite, and yet... would it be totally off-track to foresee a coming together of the two? I suspect not...
I didn't find this until you'd already got Chapter 7 up, hence my not having reviewed before now, but I shall be following with interest. The story is interesting and original, and I compliment you on your writing style; it flows nicely, not too much extraneous detail, leaving events hanging together well.

This hasn't much to do with any story you've written in particular- merely comments on... almost all of them. I'm terribly guilty of being one of those people who read and never review, but... Dear lord, your stories are a thing of another universe. The genre itself, I'm a complete sucker for, but somehow in between happy endings you manage to capture *people*, and then relate them to the rest of us poor souls so god damn *perfectly* it's breathtaking.
Even so far back as A Stage and a Bus, your plots/descriptions/characters/style had me hooked. Not to mention, for your first smut scene, that was beyond well done. Hell, I've read seasoned authors fuck up more things in a chapter than I've read in all your stories.
Eitherway- you're terrific at what you do, I suppose is what I'm getting at. I can only hope you write more stories, and continue the ones you've already got going. I look forward to reading whatever you dream up.

Hey, just now read this story and I absolutely love it. I like your characterization of both Theo and Merrick, different as they are. And I really, *really* hope you'll be writing more!!? Please? :) Fingers crossed, because it's too good not to be finished. Cheers!
