Excellent. Excellent, excellent, excellent. Seeing the fluidity and the intelligence of your writing almost makes me ashamed of my own. I said before that you were one of the BEST Femslash writers I’ve seen here, I stand by that statement without as much as a doubt’s shadow.
All’s I can say is “wow” because that was amazing. The scenario wasn’t unique (I think a lot of seemingly unattached people tend to slip up when their ex’s knickers coming a-callin’) but the thoughts of the narrator were written in a staggeringly clever way. I especially liked that line “her idea of love revolves around the five senses”. And I’m impressed at how you surreptitiously drop a back story in there (the ex cheating when she got sick of waiting for sex, then sexing up her up while she was vulnerable, the disdain between the ex and the roommate…). It give these characters “character” even though we don’t know their names, which is normally tricky to do in a one-shot.
