Kudos for another excellent update. Your straightforward writing, strong characterizations and intelligence bring a very distinctive style in this AFF mix. I'm really rooting for the Henrik-Phidias-Caddy-Anders plot. You're writing Henrik very well, as his character comes across very clearly. I'm so glad H and P are together - but you've still also managed to evoke significant sympathy and empathy from me for the emasculation and general loss of rights in this brave new society that Phidias faces. I also love the perspectives you're using to create Caddy's infatuation with Anders - who seems to be oblivious to it.) Thanks - please update again soon.

I had not expected romantic feelings for Sher by James. Like Sher said there is a expiration date for Sher's sanity. They really kill them? They just don't give them to an older man who can't reproduce? Rich I suppose is dead to the world now.
Adrian's procedure: how in the world is bleeding all over the sheets romantic? At least it wasn't penectomy.
I was surprised at the counselor. He is actually trying to give Phidias all the freedom he can have. So much difference between Adrian and Counselor, Adrian probably would have been telling them to just lay there and wait for it to end.
Is Henrik rearing Anders to marry Caddie. Anders is so much under under Henrik's control, Caddie is going to have a lot of trouble with doing that. Henrik needs to give up a bit of the machoism, but I suppose it might not be so bad.

What about H being a scientist and allowing Phidias to continue with his old one or starting a new one? I don't think that will happen. But I suppose he is allowing Caddie to go to school, which most men would not have done.

bleh... I knew Henrik was too good to be true. Heck, he may still be good lol but so far the only man in this world of yours is Michael :) oh well!! this are "trying times" as big H would say.

Oh god. Oh god, oh god, oh god. I thought Phidias was supposed to be some sort of academic? That he would have some sort of critical thinking here?? Some understanding of the meaning of words, reading between the lines... Well, apparently not, so he's going to get royally screwed. And not in a good way. Anders and Caddy might have a chance at something nice unless Anders is his father's son. But we'll see about that.
I'm dying to see more of Sheridan and Aaron. And I don't understand what the heck is up with Adrian's family. Aaagghh!

poor sher. i'd be lost to :< i hope everything turns out ok. :o What if he committed suicide because he couldn't take it? Or attempted too and bleed unconscious. If they knew that Sher was that unhappy, what would they do? Would he be beaten? Sent to the same place that Ashby was? Rowe House? Divorced? So many possibilities! >.
D: and what a harsh community, it's like they reverted back to the old days, the community sounds so small that any inkling of gossip gets out and around before the day is over. o.O; :o you should do a flash back of the first time between Adrian and Sean :D

Caddy is weird lol. And why would he suddenly blurt out he's almost 15? I guess unless he really likes Anders.

I can agree with the stuff on the list.... it doesn't seem too.. out there. Are they both unable to have children? Henrik and Phid? What would count as cheating or straying? What is Phid is raped? Since they can't exactly prove if it was rape or not. Would Henrik still take Caddy away, or would he ask for some kind of proof? That deal sounds a bit shaky to me if Henrik isn't counting in any possible rape, since they seem to believe the men over the carriers about issues dealing with sex and what happened, which totally isn't fair. D:

Henrik is so nice :o but i need more insight on his character before i can really make a decision. Or else i'd be like Caddy, if their decently nice, then they're cool. >.>;; Caddy needs to... think through things a little more, or he's going to have a rough time after he's 15. >.>;;

Wow - thanks for another riveting update. You do have a wicked sense of plot - I love the transaction between Phidias and Henrik. It felt like an alliance with the devil - and yet it seemed so fair in view of Phidia's disadvantaged situation. Hope you'll stay inspired and cooking up more of this soon. :D

Hi, I've been a loyal follower of both November and August. Phidias' relationship with Dr. Long just strikes me as something a bit deeper. I really like Henrik but i just keep getting a gut feelign something will happen with Dr Long and Henrik will take Caddy :(

that was interesting. I wonder what is the connection between Anders and Caddy at first I thought Caddy was just attracted to him but now I don't know anymore.
