I discoverd your stories a few days ago and I love it,I can´t express how much, they are absolutely great, I like phidias the most and can´t wait what will happen to him. I don´t write a lot reviews, english is not my native language, please excuse any mistakes, wish you a happy weekend.

I LOVED this chapter for so many reasons. All the characters are hurtling in slow motion towards disaster: Phidias gets pregnant and paranoid about his husband at the same time (or perhaps, worse, that his suspicions are ring true), Adrian's rebellion subtly resurfacing and influencing the next generation (will Dothan then think he's not fit to be a mother?), Malcolm getting ideas from evil Keith and James threatening his husband. Brilliant plot devices. All succinctly done, through crisp conversation. Thanks for the update.

You go James!! gah... Harley sucks. Also, Adrian WOAH!! haha I need to go back and re-read his story, because I'm a little bit confused over why he ran away. Because a part of me is inclined to believe he ran away because he was afraid and then he was raped...and then he decided that he had to go back to the Dothan community and marry the rapist. It is there, where they accused him of sleeping around and thus had to get the surgery to fix him. And then bam, they were married. But I feel as if I missed some stuff... I'm fascinated by those children though! can't wait to hear more of them. :)

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE UPDATE!!!!!! I really love updates >< Well, as always it was an awesome chapter! It keeps getting more and more interesting. I can't wait for the next chapter! :)

Ummm...there was something that, even if it doesn't bother me, it confuses me...When Henrik was first introduced, you wrote that he was almost 50 (you wrote ''Henrik was well-kept for a man of almost 50'), Phidias is 37 (you wrote: ''He had, in his short 37 years of life...''), so they have 13 years of difference. On the new chapter you confirmed it again: ''At twenty...Phidias would have been seven or eight, at best.'', so thats 12 or 13 years apart. Everything is fine until the next line: ''When Phidias was twenty, Henrik would have been about thirty-nine.'' So...now is 19 years :S And then: ''When he had married Emily and had Cadmus, Henrik would have passed forty.'' Umm...if Cadmus is 14 now, and Henrik had passed his 40's when Cadmus was born, so he must be around 55.... :( I could be wrong on this, I suck on mathematics, English isn't my first language, I understand it very well, but sometimes I don't quite get it, or read it wrong, and I have to read it a few times to get it >_> (I'm not really smart either -_-'), and I didn't really read the old chapters very well to see if what I saw was right, I just looked for names and numbers ><

But now thinking (after deleting and editing the review a couple of times.....), I think is the 39 what is wrong. Because if it is 33 (20 from Phidias age + 13 of the age difference), plus a year or 2 (when Phidias got married and had Cadmus), plus the 14 that have passed, that would make Henrik 48 or 49, or almost 50, like you said...

If I'm wrong, just ignore it. It doesn't really bother me or anything, just confuses me like I had said before. So anyway, keep writhing because its just amazing. I love everything that you do. ^______^

Until the next chapter then :)

Good call! 39 was wrong. I've always said my readers are the most clever of all. Anyway, I've fixed the math.

And a point to the commenter earlier who pointed out that carriers are few and far between, and thus should be prized as rare commodities:
In this millenium, some of the greatest human rights atrocities against women have been carried out in countries with extremely male-positive gender ratios. In the most extreme countries, the ratio of men:women is approximately 3:1; by contrast, the ratio in the majority of the world (including most of the Americas, Western Europe, and the majority of subsaharan African countries) hovers between 0.98:1 and 1.03:1.

These extremes exist in countries that allow plural marriage, and therefore do not even accurately reflect the ratio of available women to men. One would expect that in a country where women are rarer than any other place on earth, they would receive better treatment. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Many other factors (traditional gender roles, lack of money/power, disparate health care and education, and general societal devaluing of women) influence the way women, rare commodities for the common man, are treated and valued in these areas.

And a general note to all: Thanks for commenting, thanks for reading. I was really nervous about writing August, as I wasn't sure I could do anything up to par after November, but your support has helped me (hopefully?) meet that goal. Thank you all!

I can not believe how GOOD this story is getting. I have been a fan of your work since November and August far exceeds even what you did there. The character's storylines are intense and realistic. The mystery of the characters past and the curve-ball the 'helpless' carriers provide to their husbands. I cant wait for each posting!

The light just went on.. Life changing shift and add behavioral changes and you have a bunch of men so off kilter they will accept treatment that never would have before. And starting the "brainwashing" to the earlier just changed guys- they dont stand a chance. Wow!

Wow I did not expect James to be such a freak! But then again I can understand him trying to protect the family jewels at all costs.
