The story is pretty short, but it did really intrigue me from the beginning to the end. Malus' attitude is totally spot-on and realistic. Though at first I thought he was gonna be the wholy 'bodice-ripping mr. dark-and-lusty' kind of guy. You clearly showed that he isn't just a blatant PWP device instead, and that made me shift to the edge of my seat. The setting is dark and ominous, and though the heroine is pretty meek, I can definitely see that reason for it.
Sorry for being such a nit-picker. I can't find any fault in the style of writing and the prose, and the characters are pretty well fleshed out. Should you update, I'll definitely be there for a lookout and read it all.
