I suppose I've written the last review rather harshly, but I feel the need to point out that I did not say I didn't like the story, I just disliked Avery a little because she was rather ...dumb. Dumb (since other people need to get the point that there are double meanings to a word - not meaning you KD) as in a weakling. I'm sorry not everyone who reads your story loves it 100%, but it's not that I hate your story, it has plenty of potential especially with the horse head part that kept me up for nights, only that the sifting between two males is rather weakening on the males' part, since they claim to be so strong. You could view it as a sexual experience, but it's still rather..unfair as I would call it. Perhaps its the males that are naive, and not the girl. Secondly, I was rather mocking of your plead for reviews, because as an online writer elsewhere I understand how much reviews are desired, but not to a point of arrogance. Then again, I also understand you get paid, and this type of "unwelcoming" is rather new to someone who is well received. It's like ending with a whimper instead of a bang type of poem. Although I did not appreciate how you quoted words from me out of context to appear as if you were making the smarter comeback but whatever, I'm just apologizing cause I didn't want it to seem like I'm a huge anti fan. I just don't give reviews when I have something good to say because it's rather like cave man grunting - very disatisfying. And I feel a certain annoyance when people go and say "I want reviews, if you don't give me some then I'll stop." If it weren't for that, I'd probably wouldn't have said anything more than a just post a "post more" note, which is even worse than not receiving a review.

Thirdly to the person below you. Not everything that falls accordingly to a "cliche" plotline is tiring, it's substance that counts. Falling into the "I hate typical romance" anti-club is as bad as the teenage girls that want the typical romance. Just because you're anti-cliche doesn't mean you necessarily read better stories. Again, I didn't really mean force as in BDSM force, but at least an ultimatium of words, not man handling. There could be a "Come back when you decide who you really want to be with" type of take charge, not the one you are so "disturbed" by. My mind hasn't traveled that far into the gutter yet. Also, I suppose I am more of a one-on-one type than a "free for all as long as I don't say I'm yours" sexuality which is why I personally disapprove
of the exploring behaviour.

Anyway, I must have been too offensive, and I'm sorry for that, however I'm not withdrawing my opinions about Avery or the other two men. And I don't see why the other reviewer has the right to be "disgusted" by me when she claims that its a personal experience no one else has a right to judge. It's the author's critique that I'd rather listen to, thank you very much. I have also outdone my review limit, and probably won't review until something interesting happens. I only stated my opinion, which I'm sorry again that you didn't like because it wasn't in your favour and was too harsh because I just finished reading the chapter but now that I have come back don't think so strongly anymore but still kinda do, because you asked for a review. ...But now it sounds more like you wanted something nice...and I'm a sadist/pessimist, so I'll just wait until I read something interesting.

...Like the horse head. Haha

Most of the stories I have read here have something like this after the first chapter. "Let me know if this is worth continuing." There's no difference in someone soliciting input (reviews, if you must) before posting further, and my not wishing to play to the crickets and proposing to stop. If it bothered you to have something you don't really have a vested interest in threatened, I don't know how to respond. I don't even mind someone saying, "This sucks. I ditched at chapter four because *fill in the blank*". God knows I am exposed to reviewers in the industry every day. As a published writer, you get tough.

What I don't care for is the train wreck/Jerry Springer mentality. The 'it's awful, I can't look away' thing. I am dragging you along, and you're waiting for something interesting to happen while disapproving of the characters. That's like complaining to the waiter your steak is too done and tough, cold as well, and continuing to stuff it in your face and chew while you expound upon what further you find wrong. It makes less than no sense. You either like it and eat it, or you send it back. Like the work, read it. Dislike it, stop. Simple.

Per the sexual aspects, I write erotic romance and the work I have previously posted here including quad sex, m/m, f/f, bondage and public sexual acts just to name a few. If you have sticking points sexually, my work is not for you. If you don't like women who do what they want, when they want, my work is not for you. If you don't like men too confident to be threatened by another man's sexuality, my work is not for you. If you want formula romance, my work is not for you.

From what I have read in your reviews, my work is not for you.

Do yourself a favor and find something you truly enjoy reading.

...and if you can't take honest feedback, you could exclude less than 100% responses in your request and save a lot of trouble.

You are not the only person around who writes original work over 1000+ pages and gets stuff published. In my opinion, that claim doesn't lift an author into the caste of perfection. Nobody is perfect, so if I only read and review perfect stories, I could find another interest right away. I don't review really bad stories, ease your mind. If you think that you are the only person with some life experience and that you write the hardest stuff around that your poor readers-from-behind-the-oven can't take, you are sadly mistaken. If you want to get paid, don't post on a non-profit-board.

Sora: I can tell I would love getting your feedback.

Kristina: go ahead, I review under my author's name and I can take it ;)

Like I said, I don't mind honest feedback, even if someone doesn't like my work. It's the trainwreck syndrome I can't understand. Per a non-profit site, I read some here and thought, like many authors, the reader contact would help with motivation. It's a common trick, I just don't hide my identity which most do. Including a very successful writer who posts here under a screen name.

"If you think that you are the only person with some life experience and that you write the hardest stuff around that your poor readers-from-behind-the-oven can't take, you are sadly mistaken."

Now, that did make me laugh. Thanks for the chuckle.

I don't have time to do the War and Peace post argue. If you don't like, don't read. There are plenty of great writers here. I recommend Tentacles for the Bride's Bouquet under slash. It hooked me from go.

Thanks, but I know that last chapter had a slew of mistakes I overlooked. I posted before my beta looked over the ending and I am kinda lost without her keen eye. I really prefer not to post before someone smarter and sharper than me reads it through all the way. But, I had some none-too-gentle email nudges and figured those ladies would rather have it warts and all.

ahhaaa you're mean!
Pulling me in like that "oh by the way Reike Brom's secret is gonna be spilled"
and then leaving it on that cliff hanger..grrr!
woah things are sure gettting busy at Malec's Mansion (haha!)
Awww Avery's fallen for both of them...I wonder if the boys can learn to
share or are they going to end up fighting? hmm so many possibilities!
Loved this chapter! I can't wait to find out what Brom's secret is!

I knew you'd dig that crap, Reike. :) :)

I have gotten to know where to push buttons on you and buddyholly. Plus, you've both read all my other stuff I've posted, so you suspect me of the proper things. ;) ;)

Did you find any fuckups? I've looked at it too much to see. Not just typos, any general stupidity. Let me know. Here or private. Whatever suits you.

Relax, Sora. I am not disgusted or disturbed by you, nor was I attacking you personally. Yours isn't the only opinion in the world, and neither is mine. I give you credit for standing by your view. You obviously aren't a troll.
That said, I'm not going to defend my love of non-mainstream romance. I suppose I'm older than you and just sicker of seeing the same formulaic shit.
That's why I enjoy AFF. Everyone is doing something to everyone. Sometimes in these stories I can't keep up with the fingers, arseholes and penises.
