While it's interesting to get into Pheus' head, and I know how strongly he feels for Ayve (and deservedly so since they have such a long history)... I still can't help but hate the douche. He's the romantic rival after all. :) I'm very interested to see where the story line is going, considering how it has started out.

Are you refering to that one scene in Nymphaea (when Pheus hands Ayve a towel as he steps out of the shower) or have you just called Pheus names?

As the plan is at the moment, we'll stay in Pheus' head for another while (*smirks evilly*) since that enables me to show you some things Ayve would not speak of and were therefore left untold in Nymphaea. Of course, it also enables me to retell things without repeating myself and hand the necessary information to the new readers this way. I do regard this as an independent piece of work.

You better start liking Pheus ;D.

Haha. No, douche was just the only name I could think of to call Pheus without cussing... my vocabulary, if forced to remove all vulgarity, is quite limited like that. ;)

And I shall never like Pheus; never! Of course, I do feel bad for the man. I mean -- Ayve blows him off for a HUMAN? But I don't really think that gives him much justification for attempted homicide on said human, now does it?

You couldn't promise me to at least give it a try, could you? I don't ask you to change your opinion immediately, but read on and see why Pheus acts the way he does... I mean, okay, he is a bit gruffy, but apart from that one slip he's not a bad guy, is he (scrap the last words, he is not, I swear!!!)? Ayve trusts him... (and he knows him best)

Why are you so strongly fighting for Stephen, by the way? What did you like about him?

Bah. The puppy dog eyes get me every time! Fine, I give up. I'll give the little rat bastard a fair chance. I suppose if I were so utterly scorned by a lover (and still so hopelessly in love with him), I'd be just as... crabby? Antisocial? Hostile?

I don't think it's that I particularly LIKE Stephen over Pheus... well, maybe I do. It just seems that Stephen never got his fair chance like Pheus did. Pheus had years. CENTURIES even (wait, I actually don't remember how long they were together). Stephen was so totally devoted to Ayve, made such sacrifices, and Ayve never even met him half way on it. He kept putting himself out and never got anything in return and he KNEW it, and still kept giving part of himself.

So I suppose, in the end, I hate Ayve the most! Lol. :)

And it helps that I've been in Stephen's head... I haven't had that chance with Pheus yet, so it stands to reason that I'll feel equally bad for him once I see what's going on in that grumpy little mind of his.

I'm so happy this story's back! A little confused right now, but that's what prefaces are supposed to do, right? :) Can't wait to see what's going to happen!
