I'm a big fan of the movie and so far your story is good. I was just wondering if you were going to change things up once he is taken. Just to shake things up because so far the only thing that is really different is the names. Or maybe I've just watched the movie to much.

Holy crap! This is amazing! I love the Labyrinth movie in all of it's tacky 80s glory... But I love this because it's well-written and interesting.

This chapter seemed very much like the movie ahah which means Avery annoyed me just as much as the girl did when she was angsting away hahah HOWEVER i love it :) AND i especially love the school mascot!! Octopi?!? HELLZ TO THE YEA!!! My favorite animal is the octopus. :)
