This is so incredibly heartbreaking. The more I read, more I feel for Gerald. I so hope he has his happy ending with Michael. They deserve it. mjichael is not bad, he's just a little absent-minded and shallow. Please don't make Gee stay with Ray or Sean!!!!!!
I love this fic and will be looking forward to the next chapter! Please update asap!

Hey, i love the story. Gerald is such a cutie and i really sympathize with him. Sean is too. Would be good if they hooked up, a kick in the face for Michael if nothing else. And i absolutely adore your penname.

I think I recall when this was first posted on the site. I wasn't interested in it then, and that is both good and bad. Bad, because I went without reading this story for so long, and good because it means that reading it now, I had 5 chapters to get into instead of the 1.
I have a thing for stories of boys with crushes on their friends, but this is the most refreshing and engaging piece I've read so far.
Rather than being the stereotypical 'uke' character, Gerald is a wonderfully straightforward, intelligent guy who just happens to be small and gay. His strength made me so happy; I don't like characters that wallow, or those that walk into situations they should really have learned to avoid, and Gerald is just the sort of boy I want to cheer for. Instead of falling into every trap and just letting it happen, he does what it is rational and understandable to do. And he doesn't really cry in the pathetic way every other character in fiction seems to. It's intriguing the way he can be so grounded and still look on Michael as a god. It makes his character more detailed even if the reason for such thoughts is obvious. And his approach to Ray is another wonderful thing. Though he loves Michael desperately, that he can see beyond him enough to notice and be attracted to Ray without being pushed into it develops his character beyond the boy in the sad life with the crush.
Michael; I can't decide if I like him or not. He may be trying to stay close to Gerald, but he is choosing to ignore what he doesn’t like in Gerald's life and their own relationship and that I can't abide.
Sean is also awesome. Another guy who actually sees what's going on and thinks about what to do. The way he came out was hilarious and encouraging. I can't wait for the reactions of his family – especially Michael.
Mrs. Harrison and his mother; it's so nice that even though the situation is painful for Gerald it's not all bad. Weighing good and bad makes it that much more believable and whilst I go for my share of the incredulous, in this sort of story, I want it to make sense. Above all, that's what your writing achieves.
I love pretty much everything about this story, though I'm not sure where it's going. I really hope you'll keep writing; as long as you do I'll keep reading, though I never review as much as I should.
I'm shocked that your story has received so little acclaim when it is one of the best I've read to date. It's depressing that there are worse fics that get more attention for gimmicks of quick sex and kinks. Reading your authors notes, I was genuinely surprised; I clicked the link after reading only the summary and the chapter numbers so after the first chapter I was expecting it to have been much better received.
Anyway, please keep writing!
