Wow. That totally blew me away. I haven't read a fic that's been so embroiled with emotions in a long time (well its more like slash fics of this depth are quite hard to find). I read all 8 chapters in one go, it was impossible to stop. Kudos to you for being to write so well - I spent most the fic basically on the verge of tears. On another note I've noticed you've started this fic in 2007; I'm amazed that you can continue writing for so long and still be able to maintain the high level of intensity in your story over such a long time span. On the downside I guess updates are going to be a long wait (although well worth it!). Absolutely in love with Gerard; gorgeous character just needs people to believe in him and his up and ready to face the world. Just the amount of loyalty he displays is touching. Ray I love too; look forward to seeing him become more prominent.Micheal... ugh... I'm on the fence with him. Although I can understand that teenage years can be quite brutal/circumstance can suck. Gerard's confession to a drunk jealous Micheal was a bit anti-climatic for me in the last chapter but I think it had to come out somehow I guess. Looking forward to more... (possibly faster! XD) updates!

I just finished this story in one go. It's really good. I did have a question with regards to the last chapter: since Jay knew both MIchael and Gerald were there at the party, why didn't Jay tell Michael Gerald was there? I feel so bad for Gerald, he had to basically be a parent to his mother and poor Mrs. Harrison, bless her, was more of a mother to Gerald than his own mother. How could a parent be so self-absorbed that she doesn't see what she's doing to her child? Never being around, never being there for him; it's just so sad. She doesn't even have the self-respect to get herself a job so her son doesn't have to pay for everything! She just makes me so angry! And Gerald; ok, he doesn't stay down when "kicked", but grow a pair already! Tell Michael how you really feel, tell Frank what a fucking asshole he is; he'd get more respect that way.

Anyway this review is pretty long....I also wanted to point out a few words that were incorrect: cloths instead of clothes, loose when it should have been lose. Also a few of the tenses were incorrect. If you want someone to look over the chapters before you post them, email me. I'll be happy to look them over; I do that w/a few stories on here. You finally updated! I love this story. Please update sooner. I thought you gave up on this. Continue! Love it, great writing.

Poor Gerald- how does he rescue himself- his mother is a cloying piece of manipulative work who will drag him down. Albert's the dad? hmmm. Michael deserting Gerald when he needs his friend the most. I hope Gerald does find a way to make a way out.

I like your story...but I don't like Michael. What a pompous ass! Can't wait for the next chapters. Should be updated soon, since you said in chapter 2 you had about 18 chapters already written :D WHICH MEANS! MORE STORY FOR ME!

This story is spectacular. I love it to death. The characters are entrancing and you write good (lol, sorry, couldn't help it.) I can't wait till the next chapter is up. Go Gerald. And Sean's a really cool character, hope to see a little sean-love in there later.
