I really love his story, started reading it today and couldn't stop. All the time I couldn't believe how Michael was treating Gerald and I still can't! I hope he realises before its too late to apply to the college in New York, how much of a douche Michael really is. I want to punch Michael so much at times for the way he acts. Can't believe he has a girlfriend on the side and just ignores all of Gerald's calls. I can't wait for the next update :)

what happened to Michael? He used to be such a good friend, what happened? N when will Gee wake up n smell the coffee. I want him n sean to get together, that'll piss michael off n maybe ud get a decent reaction outta him. His change of haracter does seem drastic tho..

i think u are right gerald need to open his own eyes......and realise about his live, nobody knew what going to happened in live but i think gerald knew about micheal but did'nt want to wake up and put a blind eye in that problem.....he need to live his own live and make his own happiness....mybe another agresive character in collage that can win gerald heart or beat micheal to his sense.....they need to grow up and move on....updated again please....hope my comment help....

Gerald should follow his dream. His dream not being asshole Michael. He should go to NYC, or whichever school is best for his art. He's putting his future on the line just for Michael. Who would have no problems cutting the cord and moving far away from Gerald if given the opportunity.

I read the subject of ur email n nearly fell off the chair! Loved it. Thought I might have to read previous chapter to remember what's happenin, but I started readin n it all came flooding back. Hope it comes a bit more easier to u, writin this, n very happy ur not a abandoning it :)

Hey, I didn't even know you wrote another chapter after ch. 18!
It's too bad Gerald decided not to go away to college. He'd be much better off. Away from that asshole Michael. I still think he's an ass, sorry. Michael is just selfish now and wants Gee closer to him. Well, screw him, after the way he's been treating Gerald all these years. Hot, then cold, then hot again. Who needs that shit? Gee could do so much better.

*Sigh.* That's my current feeling for this story so far (1-18). Michael has no redeeming qualities except for his physical attributes but they are a dime in a dozen. He knew Gerald for a total of ~13 years and was only maybe truly Gerald's friends for the first 7 years, and spent the last 6 years living up to the teenage drama. That "Bitch (per Frank's nickname for him)" only came to Gerald when he felt him slipping away, when he needed to be comforted and when he is tired. Yes, these three conditions need to be met before he would go look for Gerald. I didn't realize the extent of his shallow personality until Ray saw Michael walking towards the place Gerald works with his current gf while he was supposed to be Gerald's bf. He is a manipulative ass, and Gerald is his perfect victim. I always looked forward to an ass comeuppance when he acted like one before he could be forgiven, but he doesn't deserve a chance for his behavior. Like Ray said, he is sick, and twisted.
As for Gerald, his weakness for Michael will be fatal to him. From the way the story is presented, it seems that he will always, until his death which will be brought on by Michael (I have no doubt ;)), and again, always forgive Michael, including Michael's recent escapade to look cool in the other jocks' eyes. Right now, I don't think that Gerald will leave Michael even when he found that he was betrayed again and not even after another a beating by Frank which may be witnessed Michael and after Michael throwing in a couple punches. Gerald may be hurt, angry, and will "stand up" again, and again but he'll willfully blind himself again to be with Michael again. I mean, he said he would never give up on Michael. Gerald may want to fool and give false hope to the reader by saying that he had given up on Michael in their since year, but that lasted for a literally a second before he was pulled in again. Like Sean said to Michael regarding Gerald, "Best friends mean you pull the trigger" ;)
