That was... I don't know... So... strange?
Okay, So I read your author's note and prepared for monotony. It was definitely that for awhile, but I followed along anyway - That's not easy for me to do; I'm notorious for getting bored easily. This time, however, the promise of something strange happening kept me focused. Oh boy I was not disappointed. It happened so fast and so suddenly and then... It left me going "O_O ... WTF... ?" But it was such a shock and soooo cool that it made all that monotony worth it.
Funny how something that happens and ends so fast could have such an impact. I guess that's what Damon's reflecting on, aye? It reminds me of a line from one of Edgar Allen Poe's poems: "... That years of love hath been forgot in the hatred of a minute." It kinda fits... You know, if love were Monotony and hatred were coolness.
Damon seems like an interesting guy - though tragic in some ways because he seems to have allowed himself to fade into a tepid hell. Still he manages to have a fascinating arrogance through it all. Plus, I'm a sucker for chars with great hair... I'm not sure I like Cameron yet though. So far he seems a tad boring, but that might change, or maybe you meant for that?
I really have no idea what's going on, and I love it! Seems sooo eerie, and I'm not sure what happened in that last part, but I pictured it being daylight one moment and then sundown the next, like in the blink of an eye, as if he had gone somewhere, and ... blacked-out I guess. Really, Damon, Lay off the booze! Anyway, I'm sure that's not how it happened but I will keep imagining it so! Wow... I really rambled a lot... You still with me? It's 7 am so I should try to sleep before I collapse, or ramble off on another person's review log.
