Yay, I’m thrilled you updated!! You know this one is my favorite story of yours! Of course I love all your others too, there is just something about the elegance of this one. It makes me all nostalgic. lol

Peter seems so worldly and sophisticated, I imagine him surrounded by Art Deco and beautiful surroundings. Yet Cassie is so different, being so candid and unpretentious. He must love her for her refreshing look at life. It’s funny though, like so many people, he wants to change what he loves, instead of accepting her the way she is.

Shell Shock - poor Peter must have been through a lot during the war.

Lovely smut interlude at the end by the way. So they have finally made love. It sounds like Cassie still doesn’t love Sir Peter as much as he loves her though. I hope everything works out.

Great to see this updated! Poor Peter; I had a feeling he would have shellshock. I wonder if this is influencing some of his other behaviour?

Cassandra was quite positive about accepting his proposal, though I sense that there is still a lot she has to learn about him. God, what wouldn't I give to be in Paris with a hot man right now? Sigh.

Please write more! I love this type of post-war time period for a story. I can't wait to read more.

I would have written a review a lot sooner and for every chapter (I read them all when you posted them), but I was always on my parent's computer and not logged in.

It was rotten of Sir Peter to join in the laughter at Cassie's expense; I think I'd have left him then and there. But at least she had a good time talking to Dame Sylvia - a very colourful character.

The spanking scene at the end was great (painfully good lol) and I love that idea of three strokes a day for a week. This is a man who takes his discipline seriously! Cool.

Oh my!! He has some amazing control! lol How long until they are suppose to marry? I dont think that has been mentioned. The bit about his dead fiancee didn;t make me feel bad for him at all. He was mean laughing at Cassie.

That was hot!!!!! Wow! I honestly inhaled quickly when he picked her up and tossed her over his shoulders in front of all of the guests! Wow. I honestly have no words to express that. I just loved it. Poor Cassandra though, he didn't even offer an explanation for laughing along with everyone else. Although, Cassandra didn't really directly confront him about it. Great chapter, I'm really looking forward to the next one. Thank you for updating. Hmm...I wonder if we will see the Dame again in later chapters. I really hope that we will. Amazing job! This story is quickly becoming one of my favorites!

Anyway this was an excellent chapter. I love all the details and you describe the guests so perfectly. You can almost feel Cassie suffocating in such a stultifying environment.

I liked Dame Sylvia and I’m glad Cassie has found a friend. You described her so well too, with her turban and her purple cigarettes.

So Sir Peter is just going to let his friends badmouth his fiancé. That’s really tacky. I don’t blame Cassie for being upset.

Sir Peter is such a firm disciplinarian. Yikes, three cane strokes everyday until they go to Paris, or was it four, I’m not sure, either way though it sounds agonizing.

Oh my, Sir Peter is starting how he means to go on, isn't he? I feel a bit for Cassie - her friends at the orphanage obviously mean everything if she is willing to do this for them.
