Took me some tme, but I read all the chapters and I can't wait for the next one! This story is very good (I wouldn't be wasting time reading it if it wasn't ;). Real good. I don't know who I pity more, Nicoli, Andre or Conrad. XDD Not the last one. ;)
I'll wait for the next chapter. Don't want to miss it. I'm curious about the lessons Gavin will give Nicoli. XD I think it will be fun, and Faith meeting Preston again should be fun too! I'm still giggling thinking about that fan art. XD

Hello!
Sorry for staying silent for such a long time, but for the last few weeks I've pretty much been swamped and even finding those several minutes to comment on your story turned out to be a problem >_< But, my thesis is written, the master's exam is passed, my brother's wedding is in the past and the second job I took for a short while is also history... here I am :D
So, starting with chapter 34 (or 35 if we're to believe AFF). It was nice to see a bit of Nicoli/Amelia interaction. They're good together, as friends. I don't think there could ever be something more romantic between the two of them, but as friends they're terrific. It was a bit sad to see Nicoli lie to Amelia, but mostly because we knew she knew that. It's actually amazing the girl sticks to the boy and have such faith in him even though she knows he lies to her. Maybe it's because she doesn't know Nicoli realizes what Ethan and the rest of his clan are? Maybe if she knew he deliberately and out of his own free will helps the vampires she'd change her mind? I don't think so, though it's good she doesn't know Nicoli was involved in the wreckage of Deloris' house ^^'''
On a side note - I wonder if the person hiring Omen knows he was the one who's mostly responsible for the damage :P Btw, even though for a moment there I was actually wondering who the woman is I went to a conclusion that it is Amelia's mother. I considered her aunt for a moment, but the way she reacted to hearing of Nicoli involvement didn't match. If it was Hailey she'd be all "OMG, I knew the boy is evil incarnated", plus everyone in the Fairbrooke would know about it by now, especially Amelia. Instead the woman reacted along the lines of "interesting". So it's either Cecile or someone we don't know yet. :P Unless I know nothing of Hailey's real character and am completely wrong :P
It was also nice to get an insight into Andre's past, as well as Omen's/Owen's. The story between the two of them is really tragic, more so since the blame for it falls on the person who ended up dead and who is the source of the whole resentment. As Andre pointed out there's really no hope for the once-lovers to reconcile. :(
Now jumping to chapter 35/36.
Conrad. The guy is still kind of enigma to me, even though you've explained him a bit in the latest chapter. But when I was reading this chapter I was all like "OMG, does this guy even REMEMBER how emotions work anymore?" All his talking about trying to protect Ethan from being hurt made him blind to the simple fact, thankfully later pointed by Faith, that if he went along with his plan he'd hurt someone Ethan already feels attached to on some level (a fact that Ethan himself admitted to - by calling Nicoli his friend). The betrayal he'd feel would probably be even grater than the feeling of loss. Nicoli isn't, after all, his lover or the love of his life. Conrad is his father, though. Ethan would feel Conrad killed someone he cared about just to have the last word in an argument. Conrad's dislike of human is also puzzling to me at this point. Every of his children, as well as himself, used to be humans at some point. He had to get to know them when they were still mortal and sun-loving creatures, weak as all other humans are compared to a vampire. And yet he grew to care about them strong enough to make them a part of his family. I understand that whatever happened in Ethan's past must be at least one of the reasons Conrad doesn't want his son to get too close to humans anymore. But the disdain he projects towards everyone who's not a vampire (or point black a part of his family) is over the top, methinks.
I loved one of Ethan's lines in this chapter, btw: "If this is looking out for me, I'd hate to see what he'd do if he was out to get me". It may be sad but it describes Conrad's graceless attempts at protecting his son perfectly. ^^'
I loved the tender moment between Ethan and Felix too :) Our snarky ghost was being left out lately. Though I'm so glad Felix didn't stick to his "Hands off of Nicoli" demand, for my own selfish reasons XD
I think Nicoli and Felix could be excellent friends under other circumstances, ones that bicker all the time but would do everything for each other. They already respect each other, in a specific way. It's a bit of a shame we probably won't see them becoming friends...
Chapter 36/37:
Well, mot much to say about this one, just that I liked it ^_~ I really like it that you're giving us some insight into the other vampires' pasts (even though we still know practically nothing of Ethan's and Nicoli's pasts and we both know they hide some interesting stuff in there. Just saying :P). Thanks to the stories we now know about Andre, Cora and even some about Gaving adds depth to their characters. And as creepy as Gavin sometimes seems to be he has the potential of becoming a really cool character. I can't wait to see how one of his lessons with Nicoli will look like :P And Ethan 's reaction to slamming into Nicoli's Brain Firewall ver. 1.0 :D
Oh, and Ethan should expect having his head bitten off by Nicoli for "forgetting" to mention a few crucial details about the mind link :P
Btw, you're being evil again, with making Cora stop right in the middle of telling Nicoli just how special Gavin is :P Though I suspect she was about to tell him about the "lie detector" thing? Oh well, I guess sooner or later we'll find out :)
I kind of can't wait to see how Conrad reacts to hearing that Nicoli was a vital part of our little exploring team finding out the Heart's protector is still in the town ^_~
Chapter 37/38:
I pretty much fell in love in Faith here, you know? Which is kind of creepy since she's an over 600yo vampire looking like a 10yo. Sorry, Ethan XD
Btw, it looks like Conrad did realize that killing Nicoli could result of Ethan hating him. All the more reason why I don't really get the guy, even after all the insight we were given in this chapter O_o
Thank God Conrad has Faith to spell things out for him. Otherwise I fear he'd make one disastrous decision after another.
(You can tell by now, I think, I'm kind of irked by Conrad ^^')

And yeah, Preston/Faith interaction was beyond amusing :D Preston is the perfect victim for Faiths teasing streak :P
I wonder what Faith will do with the information that Nicoli is somehow connected to the Fairbrooks. Will she tell Conrad? And is so will it be a Pro or a Con on Conrad's "Nicoli sheet". Will he be perceived as more of a threat than he already is or as someone that has the resources to open the book?
We'll see :)

this was definitely a fun chapter...i can't wait to find out about the history behind these character, such as amelia and her constant need to protect, nicoli's mysterious past and of course the history between felix and ethan...i know it will come in time and i am just enjoying how this story is developing and also so interesting...love amelia's ice cream choice...chocolate and hot sauce...she actually made it sounds good...well i can't wait for you next update and again that you for sharing!

That was a great update. I liked all of the info as well as the interaction between Cora and Nicoli.
I think so far that you have a good balance between info and action. A little more sex wouldn't be amiss! LOL!
I would like to ask you for a favor though...it is very hard to find this story in the search function, it didn't even come up at all when I entered the name in the search.

I like Faith more and more ^^ And I like Preston and Amelia. The way they talk to each other are just so fun. But I feel sorry for Preston. Amelia isn't all that nice to him, is she? The poor guy. You are right, the Universe is working against him. So, Gavin has a special ability from his human days. If a witch was turned, would they still have their powers as a vampire? Cause that would be wickedly awesome ^^ Now, the knowledge of Nicoli's beheading (I swear, every time I try to write his name I get it wrong!) is spreading. Soon the whole clan will know and the poor guy will waltz around thinking it is vengeful Omen he should watch out for. Ahhh, the deception, the deception.
And another thing. Faith and Conrad have the same last name. Is that because it's more convenient? And why why WHY did he turn her at such a young age? What, was she dying and he wouldn't have that? It's hard to think Conrad lost control over himself, but who knows (points at you). There must be a reason. I'm certain of it!

That was great!!! I really can see that Conrad has his good side too!!! And Faith I really like her!!!!! She can be so mature for her aperiance!!!!! I really like How she met Amelia and Preston!!!!! I hope that at one point they all will get along with eachother!!! Cause the vampires are not so bad as well as the wiches are not so bad as the oposite parties think!!!! I think only Nicoli can act as an translator between them becaus he knows both sides!!!!

So I'm finished!!!! *jumps up and down*!!!! Great !!! Absoloutly wonderful!!! Lets start where I left off!! I really love the second part with the FLS!!!! And thank you so much for the EthanxNicoli smutt!! Very nice indeed!!! * liks her fingers over those naughty and hot guys*!!!!!
And I'm so happy Ethan wasn't serious about the Nicoli beeing a tool part!!!! I really thougt he is so heartless but now I like him again!!!!! *bawls her eyes out cause she really loves him*
Now on to the more recent events!! I really like it that you let us in on the vampire families backgrounds!!!! It really is very interseting!!! And with Gavin, am I right to asume that he can read peoples intentions or soul or somthing like that??? Because of the way he behaved when he first met Nicoli, with saying that he meant no harm and is innocent and so on???
Anyway I really want to know more about Nicolies past!! Whats with the gap in his memorys, with the evil aura, the song and his eye?? And the strange behavior of his parents may point to some incident in the past!! And is my asumption right that the clear liquid they give him to drink was holy water???
And of cause the mysterious woman, is she one of the Fairbrooks??? I kind of got this impression!!! Whith all the magic Omen had suddenly and all!!
Well you said you could see an end to this, it's hard to believe cause the plot seems only give more questions to answer and more things to write about with every chappie!!! Well if not all questions are answered till the end I keep bugging you with questions till you have answered all to my satifaction!!! * gives an evil smile and a wink*
All that is left to say for now is I love, love, love this story and you who has come up with these wonderful ideas!!! I also hope that you will keep you wonderful work up and that I will see you soon in the next chappie!!!!! *jumps up and down in anticipation*!!!!
