This is good. Needs a bit of tidying up and polishing though. It also reads alot like Cinderella at the beginning. Maybe thats why no one else has left a review. Try changing it a little?

Also, if he got water from a 'well', the water would be cold, and not warm.....

But for me, that was a fine first chapter, and I look forward to seeing what happens next.....
