I just started reading this story and I love it. Shawn is dealing with all his problems and Anthony is in denial about his gay/bi-ness. I am just at chapter 11 so I probably should not review till I am caught up. I feel sorry for Shawn's mother. I understand that Shawn is dealing with all kinds of problems and guilt over whatever happened with his father. It just seems strange that he is able to get closer to Anthony after being mistreated by him for years, and yet be so cold to his mother who hasn't done anything to him so far. It seems as if she is desperately trying to maintain control of her family especially since his dad did disappear/die? leaving just the three of them. I imagine her drinking is due to stress. So I am very intrigued and I will keep reading. I am so happy that I have another 30 chapters to read. Keep up the good writing.

Black Star Cross is a delight to read. Your writing is hilarious. I love the fact that the characters are so unpredictable. The interaction between Shawn and Anthony is cute and funny at the same time. Shawn has a lot of patience with Anthony. I don't think I would forgive him for throwing a party and not inviting me. I can understand Anthony's desire to stay in the closet but I wonder what it will take for him to at least acknowledge Shawn as his friend. I just hope he doesn't break Shawn's heart. I am really looking forward to the other chapters. Thanks for the great story.

so are we ever going to find out who gave the rose and letter to shawn?

And I READ THE STORY ANTHONY DUUUUUDDEEEE, i've been reading all freaking (nice thou) forty three chapters of it! (gods! has it been that much?! sage your write alot! *gives you a cookie* ) and you're just in freaking denial so it's about time (what with the 'main plot point') you woke up and smelled the Shawn! I mean coffee! XDDDDD

and “Dude, doesn’t he tell you anything?" yea like really dude, go echo that question to yourself a few hundred times okay (okay, 100's too much, at least 20 times)... this is one oddly interesting relationship~ *keeps reading*

interesting chapter...i beginning to think that anthony has a hard time admitting his feelings...but anywho loved the update and looking forward to the next one.

Anyway, Anthony's attempts to hide his mushy side fail, at least upon further inspection by the fangirl's eye. 83 I really need to stop doing that, though. My eyes hurt from staring at the monitor so much. lol X3 And Shawn's witty banter with Keith had me giggling. I would've been laughing like a hyena, but I have to keep it down. X3

Lovely! I really do enjoy this story so far. I read it this afternoon instead of getting ready for my art class tonight... oops. Er, as for blue roses - they do exist, I'm pretty sure. Dang expensive things, too. Like black ones. Well, anyway, time for class. Great job on the writing! I really like how this progresses. Thanks for sharing!

A blue rose? Actually, last I checked, most of those were actually just painted. Roses actually have a gene that prevents them from making the blue pigment, so the best they can do otherwise is a deep purple. I think they're close, though. This chapter seemed shorter, though I am intrigued as to who sent the rose and poem. Good read, as always.

Dude, you have no idea how creepily awesome your timing is. I was about to get offline for the night (your morning, my bedtime) when I see BSC's update on the AFF homepage! So, of course, I took a detour and got my Shawn and Anthony fix. X3

The bad rhymes at the beginning were awesome, and tickle the funny bone when it doesn't really need to be tickled. X3 Still, the rose and the note have intrigued me. Who the hell would do those things for Shawn? Anthony is out of the running, since he can't even ask his kinda-sorta-not really boyfriend out on a date. Yes, that's what I think he called for, and I'm not taking it back. XP
